:Not really . It was expected to happen post a WC. The avg IPL rating is still better than avg WC 11 TAM ratingor people have become jaded. These type of flash bang events loose their novelty fairly quickly.
considering the vast majority of WC matches did not involve india, that stat shows nothing. In any case this is not about whether the IPL is more popular than the WC it about whether IPL can sustain it's momentum. And India winning the WC should actually boost interest in cricket, so the post WC blues argument isn't that strong anyway.:Not really . It was expected to happen post a WC. Avg IPL - 4.58
Avg WC - 4.2 (primary broadcaster)
Yet you forget that IPL is a domestic tournament also. People who don't have loyalties for both teams on a particular day may not arse to watch it, despite being an Indian.considering the vast majority of WC matches did not involve india, that stat shows nothing. What exactly is the "loudness and crassness" IPL has been "missing" this season? Apart from that bespectacled dude himself? While am not a female, I really doubt Modi is such an adonis to lure away the so called saas bahu audience into IPL...Other than the CWC fatigue effect, the IPL4 is also missing Modi organised loudness and crassness (which truth be told, finds many takers in India). IPL4 is now seem more as a cricket event and less as a glamour spectacle in cricket trappings, losing a whole swath of TV audience who have gone back to Saas-Bahu fare.
He wasn't a regular in the side in the first 2 IPL's and even when he got the chance pretty sure he came in at 7 or 8 to bat ,Like Pujara has so far for the RCB and did last 2 years for KKR.Lol what? He is one of the few players who has never missed a game for Csk in the IPL. Has played every game if he isn't injured.
Bull ****.He wasn't a regular in the side in the first 2 IPL's and even when he got the chance pretty sure he came in at 7 or 8 to bat ,Like Pujara has so far for the RCB and did last 2 years for KKR.

Saw his blog.. was like " Robert who"One Delhi signing I look forward to watching is Robert Frylinck. Not quite one of the best T20 bowlers, but striking under 20 with an average under 25, and also quite a quick scorer lower down. He's got a Sehwag-esque batting strike rate, but few runs, and very few T20 caps, though he may just be a key player to revive Delhi's stumbling campaign. I'd also like to see more caps for Andrew McDonald, who gets more wickets, and is also no mug with the bat. Delhi's bowling is weak, and with James Hopes, even weaker, so these two should figure often.
