Or perhaps he wanted there to be atleast some sort of target to chase so that the Batsman get some practice.

Franklin has found a new fan in Sachin Tendulkar, no other explanation for it.
Maybe somebody should tell Sachin that Franklin is basically a batsman who can bowl a bit, but only if absolutely necessary. And opening with Franklin is pretty daft too, he should be there to finish things off.

What is Mumbai's fascination with Satish for 2 seasons now ,i don't get?

He bats at 7/8 and Tendulkar rarely bowls him. He is a good fielder but i think they are better off playing a batsman like Suman to open instead of him or a bowler to fill instead of Pollard.

In 4 matches this season, there's only been 6 dismissals for the entire Mumbai team. Three of them were Davy Jacobs.

santhosh: "seems there is a lot of talk going on about team loyalties. when was the last time you guys supported your ranji team?"

Awesome "stfu" to the people who were bagging Dravid and saying they are loyal to the Bangalore Royal Challengers ahead of him.
Haha, That is awesome. Hilarious when the IPL-only wankers talk about cricketing state loyalty yet know SFA about anything beyond their IPL franchise.

FMD, I hate this new brand of fans in Indian cities. It's irrational I know. One who watches IPL alone can be as big a cricket lover as someone who watches all formats but people gloating about how they're die-hard cricket fans yet only care about the IPL and only watched the WC before the IPL really get on my nerves.

Symonds is running slowly, turning blind, ball watching. Looks out of sorts really. Won't comment on the actual batting because all the batsmen barring Uthappa seem to have struggled somewhat

I'm all for an intelligently placed chase but surely pushing it to the last ball is cutting it a bit fine?

There is no way hell in this should have gone to the last ball.

Epic Screw up by Mumbai ,specially these 2 here.
And if Symonds had got run out there with a better throw or gather then it would have been big pressure with 2 off the last ball.
