Somehow the word "Petty Bourgeois" springs to my mind when Sidhu is mentioned, dunno why.Sidhu epitomizes the phrase "verbal diarrhoea" more than any other commentator.
I first noticed his "masaa" thing this during the podcast coverage on cricinfo during the world cup, very subtle but there none the less. As for cricket expert ... umm whats the nature of his expertise? I dont remember him ever making any insightful comment whatsoever. He is glib, doesnt cliche like Shastri, or a jackass like Sidhu or an snivelling irrating git like Sivaramkrishnan. That's all that can be said for him.Never noticed his "massa" attitude. How did you reach to that conclusion? And his role is not just of an interviewer but also a cricket expert. It's obvious that he will give his views on the subject...
And of course everybody loves the irish.
Maybe am just a Harsha fanboy. He is the ultimate Indian male's fantasy> Never played cricket at a very high level, studied at a top institution, got a respectable job but managed to dump it all for a life watching cricket matches.
Can someone please help me out, what is Massa attitude?...
Surely he will replace Smith next game. He is fielding.Pune would be even awesomer if they had NMac coming in at 6-7. Heck, even if he didn't bat or bowl he would still be worth it as a specialist fielder.

Manjrekar, tries to follow the plot or *tries* to comment on the less obvious onfield shenanigans. Best of the sorry lot.No insight has ever been forthcoming from him but then that is true for almost everybody else in the commentary box. The ability to provide an original point of view doesn't seem to be a perquisite for getting the job.
