Well, Wahab's 5for wasn't enough. But Tendulkar's 85 was perhaps the worst 80 plus score he has ever scored in this format. But for the sheer effect on the end result, it has to get the MoM.

IIRC, Hussey's knock in Sydney test against Pakistan got him a MoM right? Was similarly dropped, but in the end was the difference.

I call BS on this. You wouldn't be saying this if this was Dravid, Laxman, Chanders or Martyn playing this Innings, You'd just be saying their batting is dire. What's more, there have been very strong rumours coming out of the subcontinent all tourney that players are on the take

Put those 2 together and then you witness a quality player basically sit on his bat until the game is done and dusted and people have every right to be suspicious

That's the damage done to our game by Malik, Cronje, The Hon Azha , etc

I don't remember, but really that 175 was no contest considering how close the match he singlehandedly brought to. Wahab's, truly memorable performance it was, wasn't something which made the match close. Ok, it may the batsmen failing to do their job, but then again, 5 fors aren't that rare like a 175.

Four. Misbah, Younis, Kamran & finally Umar Akmal being the culprits. Afridi holding on to the 5th catching chance off SRT .Also got an lbw overturned, and narrowly missed getting stumped. Tendulkar won ugly today as the commentators said.

(But otoh bowling & fielding was as unugly as can be expected from this Indian team - so they kept their end of the bargain up nicely - Zaheer ends up with worst bowling figures as every one took 2 wickets each).

Pakistani batting - one or two of them lost ugly. Have to single out Hafeez dismissal for going against the run of play with a poor pre-meditated shot.
