Every time I see Murali bat, I marvel at the fact that he managed to eke out an epic 33* at one point in his career. How on earth did he manage that?
He is not that bad. His ODI batting record is awful but iirc in tests he averages comfortably double digits.

265's an interesting total. It's a lower score than SL should have got, but I think it's still going to be a tough chase.

Even with that late flurry, a very good effort by NZ. SL had about 202/3 off 40, and 280-300 was looking very much on at that stage.
