Cannot help but think they are depriving their better players more time at the crease to make this chase more comfortable. If these two go on then fair play, but surely a set Sarwan milking the slow bowlers is a more effective weapon.

I understand what they are trying to achieve, but not sure it's the way I'd go.

If I had any money in my Betfair account (bloody Cheltenham) I'd be dumping it on Windies at 1.83, oh that's gone now, still 1.79 is good, no wait 2.46, that's ridiculous, know a wickets gone, but , IWANT.

If we look at the highest score on this pitch for the last 3 innings, it cannot have been much more than 60 or so that Bopara got. This seems to suggest that a 'big' score or a long innings is not on the cards. Certainly all of their batsmen so far have batted with this idea in mind.

I think that these are pretty smart tactics to be honest. Get your more brittle, less experienced players out there when the pressure is less, the ball is new and runs are easier to get. When it gets to the crunch situation, they'd obviously prefer to have Sarwan and Pollard batting than Sammy and Thomas. Its a work of genius, though it might have been better had they dropped Smith (who is all for interests and purposes useless) and picked Chanders.
Smith has continually contrived to sabotage his career, I agree. But he played a crucial innings against Ireland last week, and it's understandable that he wouldn't be dropped on the back of it. But dropping Chanders for a crunch clash? Madness.

A lot of pressure on Sarwan now, everything has been set up for him, it seems. BIG innings.

Cut shot dragged onto the stumps? Didn't see that one coming. If only there was some precedent, some sort of warning. Oh wait...

Idiots.

blimey, Ravi and tredders with the ball, great for us, but honestly pish for the Windies to be getting out to those two.

Well done lads, though:)

Here we go, Pollard/Sarwan=game.
