Haha wow. Anderson has had a truly dreadful last few ODIs, but some of the **** going around recently is amazing. Some egg gonna fly onto face later on this year, after he's actually had a proper break.

Weirdest last few overs though. 7/46!
I'm talking about his One Day International capability, not Tests FFS. He's a great bowler in Test Cricket, but i'm criticizing his complete ineptitude with the white ball. He should stick to tests IMO. Bresnan, Woakes and others should be picked over him. He's another version of Harmison.

Didn't even bat out their overs. Pfft.

Seriously, awful stuff. Jimmeh was merde and Sachin in particular was harsh on Swann, who was our banker.

We miss Sidearse, tbh.

India should schedule Odis vs Ireland or Netherlands in the summer instead of vs England. It's a win win for everyone.

On the other hand, if India lose this from here, they should lose their ODI status with it.

Thing with Anderson is that you never really get a middle ground with him. He's either stunning, where he takes wickets and bowls tightly, or he has days like today where he's ****ing ****.

Tim Bresnan is a ****ing legend, 5-48 in the middle of a hammering. He's bought England just the tiniest chance here, prevented India from putting it beyond doubt.
Not really, he's probably only saved about 10 runs by taking those wickets.
He bowled brilliantly, however.

Pitch might not be that flat as the score suggests. Good score by India. Lets see if there is any dew at night which would help England. Key will be how England play the spinners. Certain parts of the ground are quite short. Might actually fancy clearing those a few times. Would be a good game.

"England need 339 to win Otherwise known as a miracle"

I lol'd.

Some good bowling at the end there from England. I thought we got a little complacent towards the end as well because we were already 300+

Still gonna be a tough one for England. Will be interesting to see how well/badly the 2 seamers plan goes as well from India.

Actually could have been much worse for us. Still an outstanding score for India going to be extremely difficult to chase that down. Tendulkar was awesome today, decent cameos from Gambhir and Yuvraj too.

Just hope our batsmen give themselves a chance. Tendulkar did not try blazing away, he took his time and improved his strike rate over time. Obviously we need to be positive, but not stupid. If KP bats 35 overs, he'll have three figures, so there's no need for him to blast away excessively straight from the off. Try and take advantage of the fielding restrictions, but do so intelligently.

Historically when faced with such an imposing total, we lose early wickets in clusters due to the scoreboard pressure, seeing the rate climb and play recklessly. Need to keep the board ticking with regular ones and twos and if we can keep wickets in the shed.

So basically slap the boundaries when possible, run hard between the wickets, and don't get out! Simple.

Well I guess the comfort is that 339 isn't impossible - we more or less did it a few weeks ago with a middle order of Fergie, Mitch and Clarke.

****ing Ian Chappell with his Tendulkar baiting, "Well it's good he got one out of the way, India wouldn't want him batting slowly chasing his 100th 100 in the final". What a sore loser.

It is something of a surprise tbh. But the shoulder height full tosses tell me of someone who is very much not all there. He has a young kid that was born during the Ashes doesn't he?

I think after numerous posts on this subject, we get what you're talking about.
