Hell of a collapse from the Lions. Still, both teams are playing extra bowlers, so the Gale-Taylor partnership may be enough. There's a lot of potential in the batting lineup, they're having a great tour.
Yeah, only one doing himself harm is Adams. Clearly he will have dropped behind Lyth in the pecking order unless he improves. The good thing is that there are 3 players doing themselves no harm at all in Gale, Hildreth and Taylor. Wouldn't want to be on the selection panel this summer as it may take a while to pick the best side, at least this is picking from good players though and not like in the 90's trying to find someone to make the numbers up.

Hildreth & Taylor in FC cricket over the last two years:

Hildreth: average 57.47 with 10 fifties, 10 hundreds, HS 303*
Taylor: average 58.16 with 11 fifties, 7 hundreds, HS 207*

Not a bad choice to have to make...

West Indian domestic teams often seem to be bowler-heavy.
Actually, Barbados has a batsman-heavy side. The only problem is that after the top four, the rest of them can't bat!

Jamaica has a balanced team, with Bernard and Walton coming in at six and seven.

CCCvLI: WICKET; Baker is out caught on the long on boundary for 37. Leewards are all out for 186.

GYvWIN:BOWLED! Pascal bowls Permaul who was looking to play an attacking shot to a yorker length delivery,he goes for 12. Guyana are 66/7.

ENGAvTT: 61 Overs. T&T - 173/2. Runako Morton 46*, Daren Ganga 34*.

JAvBD: wicket 3 for 156. Hinds lbw b Lambert 56. New batsman is Kevin Stoute.

Brathwaite was out hit wicket to Taylor for 76, and Barbados were 220-4 at the end of the second day replying to Jamaica's 324 all out.

Tonge took a wicket to leave CCC 47-1 at stumps, with the Leewards trailing by an additional 100 runs on first innings.

There was no further play in the match between the Lions and Trinidad, with Trinidad on 173-2 replaying to the Lions 325 all out. Morton 46*, Darren Ganga 34*.

Guyana limped to 98-9 at the close, leading only by a miserly 17 against the Windwards, for whom Matthew has so far taken 4-13.

Jamaica were 114-2 at the end of the penultimate day, with a marginal lead of two runs on first innings. Simon Jackson was out for 24, and the not out batsmen were Marlon Samuels 58* and Wavell Hinds 2*, with the wicket-takers being Fidel Edwards and Ryan Hinds. Barbados were all out for 322, with the main run-getters being Kraigg Brathwaite (76), Ryan Hinds (56) and young allrounders Jason Holder (41) and Kevin Stoute (39). Brendan Nash did not resume after retiring hurt in the first innings, and it remains to be seen if he bats in the second innings.

The Windwards won an extremely low-scoring match at Arnos Vale, making 220 and 60-6 to beat Guyana (142 and 138) by four wickets. In the second innings, an injured Rajindra Chandrika, batting down the order, topscored with 37 not out as Matthew took 4-29 and Mathurin 3-11, while when the Windwards stumbled towards the target, Permaul and Bishoo took three wickets each.

Trinidad made 283 in reply to the Lions total of 325, Runako Morton leading the batting with 54, while the other main-scorers were the Ganga brothers, Darren (47) and Sherwin (28). Jade Dernbach took 4-44 and there were two wickets each for Liam Plunkett, Danny Briggs and Adil Rashid. At stumps, the Lions were 185-4, the wickets to fall being Lyth (29), Jimmy Adams (66), Andrew Gale (55) and James Hildreth (5). the not out batsmen are James Taylor (8) and Craig Kieswetter (11). The spinners have done the damage for Trinidad, Imran Khan taking two wickets, and one each for Dave MOhammed and Amit Jaggernauth.

Ottley topscored for the CCC with 84, while other good scores came from Romel Currency (56) and Kyle Corbin (46), as Justin Athanaze and Tonito Willett took three wickets each. The CCC were all out in their second innings for 269, setting the Leewards an unlikely victory target of 370, and at the close of the third day, they were reeling at 70-5, Omair Banks the main scorer with 26, against Carlos Brathwaite with two wickets, and one each for Kavesh Kantasingh, Kevin McClean and R Reifer.

Should be an interesting last couple of sessions in the T&T - Lions game, T&T chasing just over 320, 1 down for 20odd at lunch

Tea in Port of Spain, and T&T are 155/3. Lendl Simmons was out the final delivery before tea for 94. A tough time for him to get out, but he should have just about saved this match for his team. All three results still possible but it's looking like another draw.

The Trinidad-Lions game ended in a tame draw, as the Ganga brothers batted out the rest of the match, reaching 196-3 when the game was called off, with Darren on 60 and Sherwin on 17.

Jerome taylor made 30 and Nash 41 not out as Jamaica made 340-8 when the game was officially ended as a draw. Best, Brooks and Chase all took two wickets for Barbados in the second innings....

It's good to see pacers back among the leading wicket-takers, instead of the usual diet of spinners....

Top 6 wicket takers are all pacers which is great to see. I think the cricket this year has been of a better standard due to the quality of the overseas team and the emergence of excellent young batsmen and fast bowlers.

Good stuff so far.

Very promising statistics for the bowlers. As already mentioned, it's a relief to see some of the pace bowlers amongst the top wicket takers

Two former WI spinners seem to be at the end of their careers.....

Omari Banks has been dropped by Leewards, and Dave Mohammed has been dropped by Trinidad.

WINvTT:WICKET! Guillen goes for 9 caught at gully off the bowling of Matthew. Trinidad now 8/1. Runako Morton walks out to join Simmons.

JAvLI: After 19 overs Jamaica are 54 for no loss, Hyatt 29*, Jackson 20*. Jamaica 50 off 118 balls, in 83 minutes with 10 fours.

ENGAvCCC: DROPPED - Craig Keiswetter(41) by Reifer off Kevin McClean off Riefer's bowling; 17 overs 48-0.

BARvGUY: The news here is rain, which caught both teams during their warmup session. Covers on, conditions overcast. BDvGUY: Rain stop, sun piercing through the clouds, but no play until after lunch.

Lunch - Lions 80-1 off 29 overs; J. Adams 22*, A. Gale 8*, R. Austin 1-6

Keiswetter opened for the Lions and made 45 before edging to slip. Interesting to see him opening, don't know for now whether he'll be playing as a specialist batsman. Hope so, as I'd like to see Bairstow playing down the order. Adams seems stuck in a rut, 22* at lunch hardly sounds indicative of fluency.

The Lions have been batting well this tour but aside from Dernbach against the Windwards, have struggled to bowl sides out. That's okay against the top teams on flat decks but if the Lions are going for the title they'll need to beat the Colleges.

Happy to see that Jackson's made 50. Hopefully he can kick on from here and cement his place in the Jamaica XI.
