Lions 311/9 at close of play. Emrit and Gabriel took 3 wickets.

I think this has been a fantastic domestic season for West Indies cricket so far. At last the young fast bowlers are dominating the highest wicket takers list and the ordinary spinners are having to work much harder for their wickets.

Gabriel has been extremely impressive so far in that he has taken at least 3 wickets in every innings, whilst Pascal, Holder and Bess have also been amongst the wickets.

Bernard, Lambert and Hyatt finally producing runs. Now for Nash to come in at the next wicket.

I hear he had seven stitches after being hit by that bouncer from Best. Is he fit enough to play today? It was a good 92-run partnership between Bernard and Walton to take Jamaica past 300 for the loss of only five wickets.

As for Trinidad, I don't like the team selection. To me, the inclusion of Shanga seems to have weakened the batting, which needs to be bolstered against a strong Lions bowling lineup. Ramdin at five, Imran at six, and Emrit at seven looks brittle to me....
Windwards three wickets down now, but just 30-odd runs shy of Guyana's modest total. CCC all out now, but let's see how lowly Leewards perform.

Beamer, that's a good point about the wickets. Has the WICB made a concerted effort to improve the pitches?

Hell of a collapse from the Lions. Still, both teams are playing extra bowlers, so the Gale-Taylor partnership may be enough. There's a lot of potential in the batting lineup, they're having a great tour.
