QLD getting it absolutely right this morning, day 4 on Adelaide Oval, attack the stumps. Drawing a lot of edges too.

Dan Christian, now is the time.

South Australia will be lucky to squeeze past 100 here. One of the finest first class games that James Hopes has ever played.

Sensing an opportunity, QLD have stopped attacking the stumps and have instead resorting to getting blokes out caught behind. Clearly desperation setting in, will make the eventual SA victory all the sweeter.

Batting continually being the problem for SA this season. The umpiring isn't helping SA much either tbh..

Cullen Bailey smashed a couple of 4's as QLD try to buy a wicket. Clearly worried by this pair.

Even though I didn't agree with picking so many bowlers, I was kind of excited about Christian getting a proper chance up the order in the Shield, but he's failed miserably. Is that three ducks in two games since his promotion? So disappointing.

Bailey needs some runs here if he wants to play next game IMO, especially if Klinger is back. The tail was already long enough without bringing him in for O'Brien and he hardly bowled wonderfully. I like him but he just doesn't fit into the team balance at all with Christian and Lyon already present.

Really put him under the kosh, though. Scored a ton from 6 and a 90 from 7 before Christmas but he had more support around him. They picked 6 bowlers this match, what the hell for? Why was Bailey picked at all?

Really does confirm the selectors have given up on both grade cricket and Futures as form guides, especially when they're still chasing interstate batters.

Well, SA still in the fight even if they're probably out of the game. Would expect nothing less of Mass. Hoping he bats through. WAFG.

Still QLD's to lose but Harris is playing an immense knock. This his first 50+ for the season too.

EDIT:

Over 56.5: Hopes to Richardson, no run, OUT, short, hooked in the air to long leg where sub Tim Bishop (Glenelg Grade player) takes a very good catch moving to his right - Hopes now 6/48 and SA are 8/159
haha, could only imagine the uproar had Bishop put it down. Interesting that he's fielding for QLD, have they lost two blokes?

Richardson will be kicking himself, though. Likely to be over fairly quickly now but I hope Harris has a red-inked ton at least.

haha, brings it up with a zakk. Harris you champ. Interesting more legside and lofted shots once he got past 50, much like he does in T20's. Long may that sort of play continue.

EDIT: All over, not quite 100+ but not far off. 8 LBW's in that innings, Shield record. Pretty woeful stuff from the rest of the line-up.

Yeah, Swan and Floros are both cactus. Given the fact that Broad had a bowl I'm guessing Neser could be injured too - so that's three of their bowlers gone for basically the whole innings and they still managed to bowl you out for 177.

 seven ducks

Only South Australia could produce such an unusual scorecard.

Even when Bracken blasted them out for 29 in 2004 they 'only' had 5 ducks.
