Hope Kenya try bowl full and straight at Guppers. Then at least we'll get a bit of a show.
They're bowling short and wide at him.Hope Kenya try bowl full and straight at Guppers. Then at least we'll get a bit of a show.
PEWS made the point, but a few of the wickets came from legside-ish half-volleys. Against decent batsmen a lot of the wicket taking deliveries would've been clipped for 4. It was just that Kenya's batting wasn't quite of the required calibre.Against the "so called" expert's predictions, the seamers have taken all the wickets and the spinners have taken none.
Not a great showing from Kenya, but the NZ seamers bowled well. They bowled full, at the stumps, giving very little width
^ 100%. Let's not forget, India got 350 against them on this same pitch a couple of days backPEWS made the point, but a few of the wickets came from legside-ish half-volleys. Bowling full and at the stumps is the plan for Kenya, not necessarily for any other team. And it worked perfectly.PEWS made the point, but a few of the wickets came from legside-ish half-volleys. As has been pointed out many times before, he's doing a decent enough job, and it's not like we're spoiled with great openers.Guptill doing his usual party trick of being really good at hitting opening bowlers back over their heads. Looks awesome but unfortunately apart from that he's not that good.
Agreed, Guptill is the last player we should be moaning about tbh.As has been pointed out many times before, he's doing a decent enough job, and it's not like we're spoiled with great openers.
I'm not saying drop him, just that he's incongruously awesome at one extremely flashy part of the game, hence the tendency to think that he has more ability than he really does.As has been pointed out many times before, he's doing a decent enough job, and it's not like we're spoiled with great openers.
