I don't care if he bitch slaps him for his actions or uses a whip on his ass. Put up a united front in the public and take whatever actions he sees fit on him in private. Ganguly would have encouraged Sreesanth to go all out and we would have seen more of his fiery spells if he had played under his captaincy.

Agreed. I am no Sreesanth fan, but he should have Dhoni's unconditional backing in public.

Wtf? Why should he be "handled"? You don't see Andre Nel being told to shut it by his captain in press meets and he was arguably more in your face and aggressive than Sreesanth. These suggestions that imply that aggressive body language from fast bowlers should be discouraged are a ****ing joke. Let the rules and the umpires and the referees handle the issues caused by Sree/others. The captain should just shut the hell up and support his troops no matter what.

uhh, how exactly is he a ****? beating ponting with 2 beautiful deliveries, and saying a few words to him- get real.

and what would you term 'works' - him having no venom or aggression like the majority of indias vegetarian medium-pacers over the years? There have been so many times where sreesanths aggression has worked for him in getting a batsman out- graeme smith, hayden in t20 tournament etc. It's who he is. Let the match referee deal with him, but don't turn him into a typical toothless indian fast bowler.

You can't compare two players. It's called having a difference in personalities. An eccentric character is an eccentric character, you make them stop being themselves and they lose their passion.

If he goes overboard, the match referee will deal wiht him. But Dhoni publicly talking about sree like this shows poor relationship skills and man management
