I just hope we don't chase like retards in the WC. It's ridiculous how gettable tonight's target was.

I have always believed that chasing is more difficult particularly in big games. I don't know the history of this ground but I was a bit surprised that Dhoni elected to field.

The best thing to come out of this series is that Pathan can no more be labelled as a FTB. I admit after seeing his unidimensional slogging in IPL, and his inability to do that in Indian matches, I considered him to be just an overrated hack. But that 123 against NZ certainly has helped him turn a corner. There is incredible self belief this man exudes. He desperately wants to be a successful middle order finisher by the looks and is willing to put in the hard yards to curb his shortcomings. The way he countered Steyn and Morkel who were spewing deadly short stuff at him is certainly refreshing.

A lineup of
Sachin
Sehwag
Gambhir
Kohli
Yuvraj
Dhoni
Pathan
Harbhajan
Zaheer
Praveen
Munaf

looks pretty good right now. Of course we have to hope that everyone is fit and as mentioned the batting of Yuvraj and Dhoni is a worry. Still overall I am pretty happy with this team and it's now a matter of performing in the big games during the WC.
Do you believe in god now Dissector? :p

Centurion...win toss -bowl
It's generally a very difficult ground to defend, as you saw today.
If Yuv and Raina hadn't played d4re shots today, ind might have won.
WI once chased down 200 in 20 overs here(Canada 2003
John Davison hitting a rapid 100)
Dhoni made the correct decision...his top order did not.

Tsotsobe finished the series as SOuth Africa's leading wicket-taker with 13....

This must be making his many detractors on this thread chafe at the bit!

Sourav Ganguly : it is better to bat first in a big game (on an Indian news channel at the moment).

World Cup 2003 final, Ganguly ?
