*Official* England in Australia (2 T20 & 7 ODIs)

Noble One

International Vice-Captain
Love a bit of attitude from Shahzad. It is a trait that is forced out of too many bowlers.

I don't believe in the view that you show the more experienced batsman some respect. If you beat him with a good ball, you make sure he ****ing knows about it.

Geez what was with that? Never seen him reach for the ball so much. He's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of it

Dorothy from Haddin. Stepped away and just carved it over the covers. Nice shot, but chasing this total I'm not sure it's what is needed. Might be a tad riled.
Nah that's just Haddin. Rarely changes the way he plays particularly in odis. It's why you see him getting out in stupid ways after getting in pretty regularly.

Clarke gone. Another ugly ugly innings. First odi wicket for Woakes. Well done to the kid.

Gone. Yardy does his best to **** it up, but the skipper goes for 9. Merciful release, really.

White v Woakes could be bloody murder tho.

That really was a piss-poor shot from Clarke

Should be a regulation single to leg off an average delivery not a flick in the air

Something ain't right with Clarke beyond form. He just looks incredibly tense at the crease.
Yeah reckon you're right about this. Very strange to see a guy go so far backward in such a relatively short period of time.

Prior standing up to Woakes. Surely a sign that the boy's maybe not quite quick enough as of now?

EDIT: Only for Haddin tho. Tactics, obvz.

England still well in the game imo. Problem is that Tremlett and Shahzad have already used up half their overs and Haddin's looking good.

Clarke is definitely feeling the heat this atm as he is being bagged by almost every Australia fan.
To make matters worse he has probably convinced himself that dabbing the ball around rather playing his shots is the better way of coming out of this slump which is most definitely not the case. Clarke can certainly take a leaf out of Haddin's book in terms of how to back your skills to bring the confidence back into your game.

Lucky Tremmers can bowl, cos his fielding and running aren't quite of the required standard in my estimation.

Haddin to play match winning innings now, obviously. Sigh.

Ausage, this is Paul. I don't think you've met. Paul used to be a cricketer until quite recently, you know.

It's just odd though. Clarke was superb in 08/9 and coming up to the Ashes looked in supreme touch, blasting his way through the SL series (and throwing his wicket a few times as well), then made about 150 runs in a shield match. Then his back went and so has his batting, it seems.

There must be something more to it, surely.

Split up with his lass, hasn't he? Amidst rumours she was playing away?

Sort of thing that can get to a chap.

Playing the shot is not the problem its the lack of conviction while playing those shots that is really the issue with him, if he would have played that shot without any half measures then he most probably would have whacked that ball to the boundary.
