*Official* India in South Africa

 Good one.

Another goal of this exercise is to make the Indian team think they're way way better than they really are. So they too can do their own versions of epic fail in the big dance. No nation left behind in disappointment (except maybe them folks down under, they've had their fill this season already, I think).
lol.......well said....although i doubt the indian team will get complacent.

Out of interest, how many sides have won bilateral ODI series in South Africa ? I don't know how to check that on cricinfo.

England beat them 2-1 in 2009.

I'm assuming Australia must have won one, but IIRC they've lost 3-2 the last 2 times they've toured South Africa.

They are usually wrong with most stuff, said the WC side would be announced today, Thami Tsoleklie would be in the 15 et cetera but this is extremely ******** if true...

"And there is also no place for someone like Albie Morkel, an all-rounder capable of smacking a very long ball at around No 7 in the order, in the best tradition of predecessors like Shaun Pollock, Justin Kemp or Lance Klusener.

A curious bit of consolation for Morkel is that he has been reintroduced to the mix for the remaining two, must-win ODIs against India at Port Elizabeth and Centurion

SA?s Cup squad light in middle: Sport: Cricket: Proteas
Confirmed. What a joke. What if Albie scores a 20 ball 50 or I know it’s highly unlikely, bowls well. CSA will say thanks for bailing us out and all but despite being good enough to get into our current XI, you are not good enough to make a 15 man squad, so do one...

The only issue for India will be if their returning players are in decent knick but as it takes over a month before the WC really starts in the form of the quarter finals, Sehwag, Sachin and Gambhir have plenty of opportunities to get time in the middle.

Tahir can't play if Botha plays or South Africa want to play both Steyn and Morkel unless they want the tail to start at 7. Essentially they have ****ed up big time in selecting their WC 15.

Peter Kirsten: South Africa have got a bit of problem with their selection issues. They must select seven coloured players out of 15. Their tail will be too long. They have a problem with the batting down the order.

Hmmm....for the first time they seemed to fave ****ed up before the world cup and not after it starts.......this might be a good sign for them.....they might win it for once.

Maybe South Africa are planning to use him as a surprise weapon in the World Cup ? It seems to be the only plausible explanation.

The thought crossed my mind too but its a really silly idea and would seem especially silly if he turns out to be ****
