It's not exactly a "c" Team.

4 First choice players are missing ,but the rest will remain the same.

4 first choice players are missing...........what do you call that???? Okay lets say a B team. Those 4 are very important members of the squad. It is surely not a first choice squad.

Yeah. India have had to get used to playing without Sachin. Praveen is hardly an automatic selection for me either. Gambhir has been in and out recently. I just hope when the fabled "First Choice XI" finally plays together in the WC, it delivers the goods...

Kohli, Rohit, Yuvraj, Pathan, Nehra, Munaf - These are India's ODI specialist. They did not have time to acclimatise themselves to South African conditions.

Plus 4 First choice players are missing.

2 entirely differant teams -

Test batting order -
Sehwag, Gambhir, Dravid, Sachin, Laxman, Pujara

ODI batting order -
Vijay, Rohit, Kohli, Yuvraj, Raina, Pathan

Captain and Wicket Keeper remains same.

Test Bowling -
Ishant, Sreesanth, Zaheer, Bhajji

ODI Bowling -
Munaf, Nehra, Zaheer, Bhajji

See only 3 players - Dhoni, Zaheer and Bhajji retained, South African is not an easy place to tour for Sub-continent teams.

Technically, and I know I'm stating the obvious, to be a "C" team, there'd have to be 22 players out of action who'd be picked in front of the current lot.

They are usually wrong with most stuff, said the WC side would be announced today, Thami Tsoleklie would be in the 15 et cetera but this is extremely ******** if true...

"And there is also no place for someone like Albie Morkel, an all-rounder capable of smacking a very long ball at around No 7 in the order, in the best tradition of predecessors like Shaun Pollock, Justin Kemp or Lance Klusener.

A curious bit of consolation for Morkel is that he has been reintroduced to the mix for the remaining two, must-win ODIs against India at Port Elizabeth and Centurion

Pfft, you guys just aren't seeing the big picture. It's pre-choking practise for the WC. Still needs some fine tuning in my opinion, the Joburg game just about had everything right, except they batted too fast, you need it to be in the last over to maximise nail bitage & achieve an optimal level of supporter disappointment. Crashing out in a blaze of gloriously embarrassing ignominy doesn't just happen by accident, it takes a lot of time & fine tuning to craft a skill that requires such a tight balance of ineptitude and dominance.

They really needed to get that one extra wicket & before letting Nehra slap that final 4 yesterday, a 2 wicket victory with time to spare isn't really good enough considering the quality of choking from SA teams of old. I think Corrie, Smith & the lads really need to up their game if they're going to match the heady heights climbed by Donald & Kluesener.

To be fair though, that was probably the gold standard, so tough to expect a similar performance this time round.

They seem to have the balance of the team about right though, allows one to go from cruise control to calamity with great efficiency.

Didn't really hear about him till recently, he certainly has an impressive average, better than Warne in fact in all formats. Surprising he hasn't played an international yet.
Interesting fact that you tell

Very very impressed with the mental strength of this Indian team. Thats why they are getting the results unlike the previous teams which have toured in SA. They have this belief that they will do well from anywhere and thats the quality to have if you want to be a champion side. :)

 Good one.

Another goal of this exercise is to make the Indian team think they're way way better than they really are. So they too can do their own versions of epic fail in the big dance. No nation left behind in disappointment (except maybe them folks down under, they've had their fill this season already, I think).
