*Official* India in South Africa

I think Parnell's issue was the same with Morkel. He's being overcoached, trying to change his action to get late swing and in the end, he becomes erratic. In the Zim game, he went back to his old action during the game. It's something the kid needs to figure out because in the U19 world cup, he was Pollock-like accurate.

Feel a bit for Rohit with that one, every other ball Morkel has landed on that length has gone over the stumps.

Given South Africa's lower order has crumbled into a heap two games in succession now (has anyone below 6 actually reached double figures?) and Parnell continues to serve up pies, surely they'll play a batsman or at least a batting allrounder at seven when Kallis comes back. Botha at eight just seems so much more solid than Botha at seven and I don't think I'd feel any differently about Duminy, Kallis, Faf and/or Albie bowling Parnell's overs. In fact it'd probably be an improvement with the form he's in.

I daresay that's entirely why Faf is being tried out.

As much as I think he's a complete and utter hack, a tail that reads Albie-Botha-Steyn-Morne-Tsotsobe looks like a far more balanced side.

Test side has same problem with Steyn/Harris/Morkel/Tsotso

Potential house of cards in both formats

Ironic, considering South Africa always used to be the best in the world for lower-order runs, with Klusner, McMillan and Pollock at 8-9.

Edit: South Africa once fielded an 8-11 of Klusener, Pollock, McMillan and Symcox. So, yeah.

Brining in Imran Tahir would be making it worse too - even though it would make the attack that much more dangerous. Bringing in McLaren for Lopsy in Tests could help, but I'm far from convinced by McLaren.
