In 90 overs anything is possible especially on the fifth day of a test match. I don't rate our attack though.lol @ the commentators speculating on NZ's attack bowling Pakistan out in a day
A very very unlikely possibilityIn 90 overs anything is possible especially on the fifth day of a test match. I don't rate our attack though.
Southee+swing=boom.A very very unlikely possibility
Chris Martin on the verge of being dropped and never playing again with bucket loads of consecutive poor performances ripped through an Indian almost ATG batting line up on a flat pitch in less than a session. If we have learnt anything from these two teams it's that they are unpredictable.A very very unlikely possibility
only to then see the Indian lower-order bat them out of the match, which sums up the effectiveness of this NZ bowling attack for meChris Martin on the verge of being dropped and never playing again with bucket loads of consecutive poor performances ripped through an Indian almost ATG batting line up on a flat pitch in less than a session( to be continued) .............................................................
Pleading proved quite effective on this occasion. Might resort to it more often.Pleading does no good. We all know what's coming. I'm amazed you can't feel it.
At least we can say they've been consistent, though - both sides have been on the receiving end of some shockers.I am always one of those advocating for human mistakes in umpiring, but this whole test has been real crape with respect to umpiring......and i can't help but feel that the outcome of this test has been so ridiculously effected by some of the awful umpiring. Are these seriously elite umps from ICC? Dire.
Tbf Nzl were down to only 2 bowlers in that match, with Bennett and Ryder injured and Patel useless. Was very unlucky.only to then see the Indian lower-order bat them out of the match, which sums up the effectiveness of this NZ bowling attack for me
So do I. But so far Misbah has been remarkably cool under pressure. Got out on 99. So far I have been surprised by the resilience this Pakistan side has shown under MisbahI certainly rate Pak's ability to get themselves out, especially in a pressure situation.
True. But the umpiring has been dire.At least we can say they've been consistent, though - both sides have been on the receiving end of some shockers.
Trent Boult. I wouldn't be against Hamish Bennett either, although Boult's the better bowler of the two at this stage imo.Looks better than Arnel tbh. Anyone in particular you would pick to replace him?
I notcied the other day that Alastair Cook made his test debut basically two years after Brendon McCullum and he's managed to play nine more matches during that period of time. Now McCullum iirc hasn't missed a test match for New Zealand since debuting so it's rather ridiculous when you really think about it.It doesn't help that we only have say six test matches a year compared to India's 13 in 2010. More than double the amount of games is just a joke.
