Is it just me that the volume of posting in this thread is down during this ODI compared to the T20s?

Agree that Lee is amazing bowling how he does at this age. Also agree with Brumby that bowling very quick is something, in the vast majority of cases, that you can either do or not. Something that it is hard to create and that even quicks out of shape can be suprisingly sharp based on their inherent ability to bowl fast.
Yeah it is, though it's likely a result of it starting at about 3 a.m UK time. Second session should liven up hopefully.

Clarke offering his standard effort at playing the opposition back into the game.

Never let it be said he isn't an obliging host. Doing his bit for nostalgia by batting at a 1971 ODI strike rate.

Good as Watson is in ODIs it's pretty easy to slow him up by bringing in accurate spin bowling. Never looks like getting either Swann or Yardy away and with Clarke nurdling away at the other end this is a real problem period for us.

Looking pretty good for England here. It changes the tactics a lot when a ground is this big, attacking during the powerplays is a much better idea relative to planning an attack during the death overs.
