Yes would imagine most would take 250 if offered it right now ?
I mean that it would be the upper limit of what we could possibly achieve. If these two stay there for the rest of the day (long shot, but certainly not impossible) we could still get a good score.

Fair enough mate. But if you were given 250 all out now, would you accept ?

Frankly? No. However, my refusal is based more on outrage at how good the conditions are, rather than the current match situation, so I concede that that might not be the most sensible option.

Gotta love biased local radio commentators. The current pair can't stop creaming their pants over how awesome Franklin is.

Fair do's, and based on how the pitch is playing you would say 250 would be well below par. It did a bit with the new ball, you get through that you should then be cashing in.

NZ wisely being watchful here but need to continue ticking the scoreboard over, cannot go completely into their shell.

Gul back into the attack, be interesting to see how he backs up his impressive first spell.

It's frustrating that Taylor seems incapable of using his feet to the spinners. It's very difficult to remember an innings of his where he got down the track often. Just allows the spinners to settle into a nice teasing length.

Good 50 for Taylor. With the exception of the one slog sweep this has been a relatively mature innings.

I wish Williamson had the power that Franklin has. He seems to make almost no effort, yet the ball practically explodes off his bat.

The guest on the Dilmah Tea Party, out of interest, is he from the company that Voltman works for?

Don't understand commies comments about Tanvir to be honest. It's obvious he is looking for accuracy and movement.

Have been out since the start of play and was thinking as I got back home how furious I would be if we were already bowling.

Well... it's good to see we're not. Though a standard Guptill 29 is so frustrating. I guess a golden duck can happen to any batsman but really disappointing that Ryder is gone again cheaply. Thankfully it looks like the old Ross Taylor is here to save the day as he usually has...

**** it, there goes Franklin.

Reckon that was intentional from Rehman. Last ball he almost got Franklin stumped and he had fielders around the corner.
