Yeah, but this "Kallis >>>>>>> all as a cricketer" meme on here is starting to grind my gears a bit lately. For me there's a huge difference between Cricketer and LO cricketer tbh. I'm not a fan of giving the former or latter part importance in rating cricketers. For instance, for me, Mike Bevan was an incredible LO cricketer, not a very good cricketer.
Not.this
Yeah, The cricketer who owned Kallis on the field is clearly better tbh.Yeah, but this "Kallis >>>>>>> all as a cricketer" meme on here is starting to grind my gears a bit lately.
haha I remember that well.. The umpire might well have given it, but Hayden dived around and was busy appealing for the catch, distracting the umpire from the "real" appeal, I felt..Ponting is an awesome bowler. He had Dravid plumb LBW during the infamous Kolkata Test.
I blame Hayden for appealing for the catch and distracting the ump..That was plumb tbh. umpire bansal was a bit kind then to india
That's not really a meme though. Kallisball is a meme, bringing up Kallis randomly is a meme, but people saying he was a better cricketer than any specialist who played in the last 60 years or so is a valid and serious opinion.Yeah, but this "Kallis >>>>>>> all as a cricketer" meme on here is starting to grind my gears a bit lately.
just as valid as those who say the opposite..That's not really a meme though. Kallisball is a meme, bringing up Kallis randomly is a meme, but people saying he was a better cricketer than any specialist who played in the last 60 years or so is a valid and serious opinion.
Indeed. Even though I think people who say the opposite are deluded or biased, the opinion is still valid; it's not a meme.just as valid as those who say the opposite..
You need to go beyond PEWSguru to understand the real value of Sachiners and Steyners in Kallisball... The Gautis and Mornes alone don't tell the whole story..Indeed. Even though I think people who say the opposite are deluded or biased, it opinion is still valid; it's not a meme.
Yeah, but less seriousjust as valid as those who say the opposite..
Wasn't saying any differently; was just saying that people actually meant what they were saying when they said it and that it wasn't a meme. There is no way to "prove" any one opinion better or worse than another but the poll in this thread seems to indicate that people are fairly evenly split on this issue.
At the very least, it means it's debatable.
Yeah, I was wrong in using that word.Wasn't saying any differently; was just saying that people actually meant what they were saying when they said it and that it wasn't a meme.
Agree, for me assessing ODI cricketers comes under an entirely separate category. It's like Rugby & Rugby 7s IMO. Smacks of desperation trying to bring one-day cricket into the argument when we're assessing Test cricketersFor me there's a huge difference between Cricketer and LO cricketer tbh. I'm not a fan of giving the former or latter part importance in rating cricketers. For instance, for me, Mike Bevan was an incredible LO cricketer, not a very good cricketer.
