On juicy FC pitches bowlers like Copeland look like world beaters, but on standard flat decks bowlers like him don't have nowhere to hide.
Garbage, Copeland has been fine on the flatter decks this season, or when the ball isn't doing much. Just is not a Limited Overs bowler, end of.

C'mon mate how many games have been there when there has been nothing on offer for the bowlers. Apart from Adeliade most other FC venues have been ridiculously bowling friendly, and that's primarily the reason why medium pacers like Swann, Copeland, Mckay and Faulkner who just bowl the ball in the right areas and allow the pitch do the rest are doing so well.
Can't see these sort of medium pacers have any impact in modern day test cricket, unless the conditions are favorable of course, which as we all know is very rarely the case.

It's pretty harsh to judge any of the bowlers today (from either side) tbh. The conditions out there are pretty terrible; strong wind, balls wet etc.

Here's a bloke I've wanted to see. Pattinson.
Pattinson is bit like a taller and younger version of Siddle, has got similar strong action and bowling style and also has got good pace to go with it, though like Siddle he too needs to develop a fuller length.

Reports on Copeland at FC level are that he bowls about one bad ball a week.

How handy might that have been this summer?

My assessment regarding Copeland or any bowlers similar to him isn't based on this game alone, I genuinely feel that a medium pacer is very unlikely to have any impact in modern day test cricket.
A bloke like Copeland might have owned international batting line-ups if the pitches were similar to what they were like 10-15 years ago.

There will be blood on the street if the selectors/management engages in rest and rotation of players this ODI series - given the uncertainty surrounding our lineup, our recent spate of losses in all forms, and the garbage served up by the Test players this Summer. There will be an uprising, and I may just lead it.

Yeah I just totally disagree with that mentality Pup. Pace is so overated it's not funny. With all the pace in our test side we failed miserably, while England with considerably less pace owned us. Good bowling is all about consistency in lines/lengths and getting the ball to do something.

I've seen him bowl live two times on tracks I'd call flat. On one of them he took a bag, on the other his economy was under 2.

His line and length is fantastic. He builds up so much pressure.
