IPL4 Auction

 Seriously the worst post ever. Just copied some of the Cricinfo article and then made up bollocks. Swann has four 4 FC hundreds (35 fifties!) and a test batting average near 25. Has opened domestically as well.
First class is where England have 18 teams really lures the Franchisee. They rather look into AUs or SA where there are 6-8 teams and a similar performance means more quality. In ODI's the highest score is 34 and 20-20 just 15 and that is not just playing 10 matches but has played 43 ODI's and 20 Twenty-20 Matches. With your logic he should have been bid. But actually he was not picked.

Today there are abou 270 players to be auctioned, yesterday there were only 70.
Yeah, but the bigger players are more likely to get interest than the smaller players.

Who are the blokes to look out for today?

Munaf Patel, Balaji would be most sought after today. Besides that some names from outsidel like Jacob Oram and similar names like him

Will be interesting to see if any unsigned players get picked up. Also what someone like RTD goes for.

Swann has less chance of getting a bid because Indian batsmen have a habit of eating spinners for all meals. I am sure that there's a large number of Inidan players who play spin as well as Dravid, Laxman or Tendulkar, or few people who plays it as well as Shewag. Vettori was also used mostly against foreign players in last IPLs, and Indian domestic batsmen did not have any respect for Vettori, or even Murali for that fact.
