Absolute quality. Has been quality for Essex for a long time now, always look forward to seeing him in the T20 and Pro40. Never understood why SA never even looked like considering him for Limited Overs but, yeah, has a phenomenal record and hope someone snaps him up.

About Jimmy, you bet.
Meh, played no part in our T20 win, and tbh after the World Cup I'd much rather he came back to England, rested, spent some quality time with his family and played a couple of games for Lancashire in the Championship than play IPL. Anderson not getting picked up is good news IMO.

The paaki's keep sending terrorists to India like the Mumbai attack. Then when action against terrorist has been sought, then they take no actions. Hence as a decision no paaki players were invited for IPL.
Then the Pak people say do not mix politics and sports. Let sports be a bridge. Well India exactly had said a similar things. Let us have economic and people ties and not with a rider that politics first and then Economics and people tie. India gave MFN status to the paaki's. But paakis say no. We have to solve politics
Now when the PCB is not able to pay their players then to have a compensatory effect wants to send its players for IPL, Be a part of the success story of the nation which they always want to destroy, They cannot toe one line when it favours and take other.when it does not.

About Lara, he has not played for 3 years. He did not play 20-20 cricket then. He wanted to be player plus mentor for teams. And these contract are for 3 years not one. Hence based on that it is sensible to not go for Lara or Ganguly

Gayle can be truly called a shock probably he overjudged himself by keeping his bid at 400k. He should have kept it at 200k and he would have gone somewhere around 350 I guess.
Post reported. When you have to use such words, it speaks volumes about you personality and insecurity.

In UK '****' is a derogatory term in reference to ALL south asians including you. To them all Asians are either Indian or Chinese!

I hope you know BCCI is an extremely political organization. Sharad Pawar is a Food and Agriculture Minister of India. Entire leadership belongs to either the Congress or BJP.

Sports and Politics should always be kept apart. Milkha Singh had lost his parents at the time of Partition. In 1962, He was invited to run in Pakistan but was unsure due to the events of his childhood. He was persuaded as people were afraid of the political ramifications if he refused on these grounds. He decided to run.

In the race he defeated Abdul Khaliq, the winner of the 100 metres gold at the Tokyo Asian Games, where he was christened the "The Flying Sikh" by the Pakistani President Ayub Khan.

No offense to Swann and Anderson but if you have problems in relation to availability during IPL then why on earth would you put yourself in the 400k bracket. Surely they would know availability is a factor in the bidders minds? A 100k could have been earned for a couple of games if they used their heads.
So that they earn enough to make playing IPL worth their while. Given how much they'll make from central contracts, $100k (probably going down to $50k) when you consider their availability really isn't worth it for them. Neither player has played IPL before, I doubt they'll give a **** whether they get picked up or not.

The word Paaki as I know is a short form of Pakistani. Rather than saying the whole long word like many short forms made. You wanna report the post and made judgments go ahead.
And if Milkha singh was given a name by Ayub Khan how does it matter. It was the same Ayub Khan, who planned the Operation Gibraltar in Rann of Kutch and then commented we will toast the indians. Then you know what 1965 Indo-Pak wat happened. And yea like here we say Indo-Pak for Pakistan, hence similarly in India, it is a common word for Pakistani is Paaki. If it is derogatory to someone and banned to use (Thanks for the knowledge given) then fine I can call them Pakistani's. Hell what diff does it make. I talked some facts and not got happy coz a president gave someone some title, or what UK does.

And BCCI has a lot of politics attached to it. Yes true. But read above. People cannot say, lets solve politics and then will go ahead for other things and when it suits otherwise say, lets keep sports aside from politics coz we want the chunk of Big Money

Punjab taking Gilchrist for $900k and Mumbai taking Symonds for $850k are by far the two worst signings so far IMO.

edit: Kallis for $1.1m isn't particularly smart business either.

Yes, I said earlier that they were both, very average when they came over for the County 20/20 last season, probably because they hardly ever play anymore.

Post reported. Excuse me, but you don't speak for all UK citizens here.

We do realise that Asians are either Indian, Chinese or Arab, thank you very much. Tsst we're not that ignorant.

Yes, thinking about it after wards, the worst thing that could happen, especially with the constant non stop cricket from now till the end of the English summer, would be to take time up in the IPL . Considering what he has ahead of him this summer, last thing we need is a injury and he's just had a kid so he'll be wanted at home.

If you are getting bored, then don read it. It is like many times many people ignore your boring posts
Hard not to read it when I'm in a thread that's supposed to be about the IPL. Your point would be valid if you created your own "India v Pakistan pissing contest" thread.

Phew, you don't identify Pakistanis, Japanese, Banglos or Thai people? BTW India and China only comprises 55% of Asian population. There are 45% left.

Symonds and Bhajji (& SRT) in the same team, ITSTL.

Kochi did well to go for Mahela (as a leader / senior player) but the main bowlers are RP Singh, Sreesanth!! KKR no longer has to inhabit the bottom of the pool....

Still no Pak's bought? IPL is a joke. No Gayle, Lara.
This makes it all the more important that gayle is available to play for the West Indies rather than the IPl. Pakistan are ranked sixth in the test rankings, and West Indies seventh, so this is a crucial series, much more crucial than the IPL.

Remember the Full form of IPL is INDIAN Premier LEague. Right Indian. Pakistani players not playing is a issue for some. So that is the discussion and it arises from it. If you cannoot understand or just limited to thinking that the world starts and end in Glasgow then nothing can be done on it
I repeat it is INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE. and the issue is related to India and related to IPL too:dry:
