Botham and Hussain were talking about it on commentary, as Botham's remarks on air seem to have caused a bit of stir in your neck of the woods.

Botham started his "you know when you've caught it" rubbish and Hussain immediately called him out on it. Apparently Hussain watches England do slip catching practice and Collingwood will take the occasional catch diving forward and turn to Strauss and ask if he's caught it cleanly.

edit: when you see the close up replays, Hughes is clearly uncertain. My beef is despite his obvious uncertainty and what Cook said, he had no problems with throwing the ball in the air in delight and accepting high fives from his team mates. I wouldn't call him a cheat, but if he wasn't sure he'd taken it he shouldn't have celebrated. Prior took one in the last Test diving forward and immediately went to the umpire as he wasn't sure.
You do know when you've caught it. You just don't always know if it's bounced :)

Beer, Smith and Watson all now approaching milestones - Hilf, Mitch and Siddle already having reached their centuries.

It's only just occurred to me that Sussex also boasted a modest SLA / LB combination a couple of years ago, and they too were called Beer and Smith.

Is that an interesting fact? On reflection, no, it isn't. Apologies.

Should there come a point when we might think about pulling the plug?
Don't think we should declare at all, maybe after we get to 600 go for really quick runs, tbh I just wanna grind them underfoot, reckon there's a good chance if we demoralise them more, they'll just fold anyway, when it's their turn.

Geez. 5/250 --> 7/a million. We have bowled almost singular tripe since taking the second new ball.

Don't think Matty's beard has got the credit it has deserved this tour. Nice to see a proper, full beard on an English test player.

Bres finding the gaps now.

Some good hitting from Bresnan here

Lead really climbing now. Swann will love having a hit in this situation.
