Rubbish, i've personally seen him score plenty of runs in England and everyone always gives him his due when he scores. He gets the pantomime boos when he walks in , just like KP over here.
You can't possibly deny the fact he gets booed at every possible opportunity?

English fans also boo Clarke and Hussey et. al.

Hate the excuse that 'it's only because they're good players'. No players owe the fans anything. Hate booing at all, but if you're gonna give it you've gotta take it.

Instinct, really. You can bet he would've practiced that shot thousands of times in the nets.
I've no doubt he does practice that shot. But it really looked like he was going to hook, then thought, "nah i'll hit it over there".

Pretty impressive.

Yeah except you boo him when he enters the ground.

Get over it. Sorry I'm not getting my tea cosy out and applauding him with my golf gloves after Bell rorted the system to his favour.
Get over what, it's you that brought up 'Almost as classy as you bunch of ****s booing Ponting' and I said he gets his due in England when he scores.I couldn't give a **** what you do.

Mate he gets booed before doing anything, and he's the captain. Classy

Ponting gets booed coming in to bat, and when he acts like a **** on the field.

He was applauded reaching all milestones though.

50 for Prior.

lol wtf are you talking about. Ponting gets booed all the time in England, just as classy as booing Bell when he got a century. It's the same thing

Cry me a ****ing river, I don't see no one moaning at all the England players receptions etc.

I've been to a couple of test matches in the 2009 and 2005 Ashes. The personally witnessed booing of Ponting at Headingley when walking out to bat. Probably because the media had made such a fuss over it.

It certainly didn't take 15,000 Australian fans to drown out the boos when ponting reached 50. The members' applause probably managed that.

So it's fine to boo the Captain of Australia when he comes onto the field, but it's classless to boo someone who has rorted the system to get himself a century

Makes sense.

How is booing him when he comes out to bat all of a sudden morally angelic?

cbf. Doesn't really bother me, just as it shouldn't bother you.

Haha you're the only one moaning about booing champ! As I said, I couldn't care less if everyone in England boos Ponting if he makes 400/ You're the one getting a bit emotional about a few drunk ****s booing Bell.

What's the difference? I didn't realise booing the captain was fine when they come out to bat. I don't really care but don't complain when Bell cops it

How so? would you say that if there was a tiny edge on an lbw? He hit it. Not clearly, but he still hit it. Like the no ball, Beer was over by a little but he was still over
Well just because a decision is incorrect, it's not a howler. An example is a close bat pad decision given out from a spinner.. Multiple noises, maybe an edge.. On review it might not be out, but it doesn't make the original decision a "howler" in the sense that it was clearly and plainly wrong for all to see.
