I honestly thought at the time allowing Pique to go back to Barca was a bad idea, as he was starting to show he had what it takes. Even though Evans was looking like he would be a future United star (Jonny, go watch some old video's, remind yourself what you can do, your becoming John O'Shea Jr at this rate), Pique still looked ahead of him. OK he's not your quintessential English centre half, but Ferdinand doesn't fit that mould either (better with the ball at feet, can pass and dribble out of defence, yet can still get a foot in).The fact Pique basically waltzed into the Barca starting line up suggests on the surface it was a bad move by Fergie to let him go, but then we don't know just how much Pique wanted to go back (Arse fans take note, if Cesc really wants to go back, you could face a similar situation).
Pub quiz question time (yes, we were that bored in work today, that someone based 300 miles away posed this teaser accross the revenue). Pique is one of 5 players to have played for Utd and Barcelona, name the other 4 (no googling - in fairness Pique was the least obv of the 5)
