If only Dhoni had lasted another 15 mins. Ah well.

Match basically depends on weather tomorrow.

Dhoni got a pretty good rising delivery.

But Bhajji just gave it away.Expected better from him.
I know got unlucky with that Delivery. It's just that it was mainly Steyn that was troubling us and if we passed his spell there would have been a fairly decent chance of us saving the test tom.

What are the chances of rain all day tom?

Still not really a road. It's better for batting now than it has been at any point of the match but there's still a little bit in it. SA have actually bowled pretty poorly in this innings and Dhoni to his credit has been quite good. He's still terrible to watch but despite scoring pretty quickly he's played good, responsible cricket shots.
He was superb. His most valuable Test knock ever IMO. Could see the signs coming in the third Test against NZ (another very good and important 90 though people might look at the scoreboard and dismiss it as cheap runs), his footwork was very positive.

And the good thing is he is playing aggressively and not how the average person builds a test match innings. I wish he would bat the way he did today every time. Won't be successful all the time obviously but he will be able to get maximum results this way.

Seriously... if it were to get rained out, how much value would retrospectively get added to this Tendulkar and Dhoni innings... so funny. Would be the same knock but would probably get into Wisden lists and all.

lucky to watch Sachin's 50th 100 live for a moment was even rooting for an Indian draw but that last spell from Steyn bought me back in to SA camp he's so much better then anyother fast bowler in the world.

He's just simply an all time great, no question about it.

Tendulkar has had to play so many clutch innings in the last two-three years and even this year alone... our **** bowling attack really puts our batsmen under extreme duress at times.

Even in this Test, it was inevitable that a batting lineup of S. Africa's quality would get 500-600 runs, but if we'd even managed to exert a measure of control and not concede ****ing 4.76 runs an over, we'd probably be another session or so into the game right now. So frustrating. That's without getting into the pathetic effort on day 1.

positive for India is their batsman are now totally in tune with the SA conditions and next 2 games will see much more even fights.

Wow that was tendulkar's 3rd hundred against southafrica in his last 4 innings against them. Impressive. He's really improving his record against them.

50 :notworthy
