Only according to the ratings, it'd be hard pushed to go past England purely on form at the moment wouldn't it? Not often a team wins by an innings against Aust in their backyardCan't wait for this series to start....
Battle of probably the best 2 teams currently.
If we based the predictions on the last time our bowlers played on conditions slightly helpful to them, then expecting them to do well is pretty much bang on.I think all the fans predicting the Indian bowlers to do well need to get a reality check tbh.
tff, most teams would fancy their chances against the current Australian team.Only according to the ratings, it'd be hard pushed to go past England purely on form at the moment wouldn't it? Not often a team wins by an innings against Aust in their backyard
Let's not get too hasty.Only according to the ratings, it'd be hard pushed to go past England purely on form at the moment wouldn't it? Not often a team wins by an innings against Aust in their backyard
That is such a poor way of looking at it.If we based the predictions on the last time our bowlers played on conditions slightly helpful to them, then expecting them to do well is pretty much bang on.
By an innings in their conditions? Doubt ittff, most teams would fancy their chances against the current Australian team.
weren't Eng beaten by Pakistan recently in their backyard and stretched by Bang?By an innings in their conditions? Doubt it
You have missed on Zaheer's growth since that last series and Ishant is much better than VRV or Munaf. That is such a poor way of looking at it.
Biggest difference between this series and the one in 06/07 in SA is that Amla and Devilliers have improved leaps and bounds.
Prince in fact was the only batsman that got any runs for SA that series, yet India only managed to get 20 wickets once from the 3 matches.
And how do you expect our bowling unit to take SAF's 20 wickets?Despite the history and all that, India has a big chance to win this. Too much pressure on Steyn and Morkel. They can't have a bad day at all for SA to win it.
Indian bowling being crap is a myth imo. They've done fine in bowler friendly conditions (Sreesanth in SA, RP Singh IIRC in England). And the bowling is much stronger this time around. And how do you expect our bowling unit to take SAF's 20 wickets?
My main worry is not Indian batting but Indian bowling.
you mean the same England that got a 2-1 at home against them in 5 tests and the same India that blanked Australia 2-0 in 2 tests ?????Only according to the ratings, it'd be hard pushed to go past England purely on form at the moment wouldn't it? Not often a team wins by an innings against Aust in their backyard
He misses quite a lot that are not Australian, going by his posting history..You have missed on Zaheer's growth since that last series and Ishant is much better than VRV or Munaf.
Our batting is in better shape considering that we have a settled and formidable opening pair.
