Just to add to his appeal, Trent Copeland is actually a particularly good slipper, from what I've seen. An opening bowler who can field in the slips is a pretty rare commodity.

I can understand the thinking of why he is there for the spinner but despite Colly’s athleticism he hasn’t got great hands. Plucks the blinders but he has shelled some absolute sitters in the slips to spin and pace.

Seems to me that his best catching has come at gully. Slip fielding should be left to Cook and Strauss for me.

It rankles that Finn is playing test cricket at the moment. Its not that he's dire, its just that hes not ready for this level and its incredibly obvious when you watch him bowl. As we saw in the warm ups, there are better options, its just annoying that his 6 wicket haul in the first dig will have him carry on as part of England's 4 man attack.
