Ban Test matches in Subcontinent

What?!?!? Adelaide is a fantastic ground and has produced plenty of results recently. You must not have watched any cricket for the last 5 years.
Adelaide is the most over-rated Test venue in the world. The commentators bang on about how picturesque, beautiful etc it is but the pitch is always a joke. Results have occurred there despite and not because of the pitch. Strong Australian teams have been the cause.

Are you kidding me? One series with two drawn matches against NZ and you forget the two incredible games against Australia? I think someone said something about there being one **** ground in every series that provides a draw, I personally don't see why every match has to have a result, although we would do well without a few of the really flat decks in the sub continent. And I don't think you can generalize all the pitches in the subcontinent under the same category, they're all different in certain aspects.

UAE was too much though, Kallis even suggested it would last 2 tests on the trot

Whatever it takes!!!
Yeah I was a bit bemused at seeing Dubai included as part of the Indian subcontinent. It's been quite common here. Probably England and Australia will join the Indian subcontinent next.

Seriously, way too much variation in subcontinent wickets and conditions to group them all under one category TBH, but that never stops people on here from doing it.
It is kinda ridiculous to leave out facts to suit your arguments too, but that doesn't stop some here either.. :p

Yeah, definitely one of the worst subcontinental pitches

This post hits the nail right on the head. We also should give New Zealand and Pakistan credit for exceeding expectations rather than just rubbishing the pitches.

Wasim,Waqar & Shoaib and recently Zaheer were able to run through batting line ups on similar pitches if Steyn and Morkal were unable to do so then the fault lies with them not the pitches
Even Wasim, Waqar, and Shoaib struggled a lot of times to produce results on roads.

I don't know. Pak and NZ could only play this kind of cricket because they were playing on roads. Give the Pak batting a little bit of swing and bounce and watch them collapse under a 100.

Over the last two years, Pakistan have been collapsing even on roads. This is their first credible series with the bat in quite sometime, and that deserves credit, in my opinion.

Difference is I'm gathering Pakistan have dropped the **** **** sloggers and are playing guys who value their wickets.

NZ have dropped most of the passengers and have a middle order core worth their spots.

Considering Dale Steyn is able to make the pitch irrelevant and India is hardly a happy hunting ground for NZ batsmen used to vastly different conditions I think the two sides did pretty well. Will be a good series when the two teams meet this summer.

The problem curators have in the subcontinent is: prepare a dustbowl, watch the ICC investigate the pitch. Prepare a road where 700 plays 600, no-one from the ICC bats an eyelid. ****ing joke.

If you produce a road... it is easier for the bookies to do their tricks a batsmen has a better chance of deciding when he gets out, not the pitch... Ill give a hundred thousand if you get caught on 49 or no wickets before lunch then lose 3 before tea... etc..

If he had decent spinners at his disposal he would have secured the result in 5 days.Botha and Harris are jokes.
