Well I thought it was the bouncer to force him back then yorker next ball. Pity they couldn't finish them off for the innings win, but still a great performance from the boys, so who's coming out to hit the 8 to win?Don't like this; why bounce a bloke who's clearly toliet with the bat? Full and straight must be the way to go?
Cook & Strauss. Treat the fixture with the respect it deserves.Well I thought it was the bouncer to force him back then yorker next ball. Pity they couldn't finish them off for the innings win, but still a great performance from the boys, so who's coming out to hit the 8 to win?
Goes without saying really.Cook & Strauss. Treat the fixture with the respect it deserves.
The opposite is armchair fans clinging to a players average as though it's the only way to judge a player.Couldn't agree more, cricketers from the past just don't respect individuality of a player, just because being a copy book batsman is considered to be the technically correct way to play, it doesn't mean its likely to work for everyone.
Quoted for the purposes of ritualistic humiliation after the series.Good stuff to win so easily in the end.We are in form and ready for the test series and have bowlers ready to step in as and when required.Bring on the victorious series. Can't see how we won't win as we are a better team.
I'd wait until you actually play a team before saying you're better than them...Good stuff to win so easily in the end.We are in form and ready for the test series and have bowlers ready to step in as and when required.Bring on the victorious series. Can't see how we won't win as we are a better team.
ICC rankings say we're better, we hold the urn. Home advantage is certainly important, but I don't think it's massively out of the question to say England are the better side.I'd wait until you actually play a team before saying you're better than them...
Nothing wrong with comparing the two sides and thinking ours is better is there?I'd wait until you actually play a team before saying you're better than them...
Didn't realise they'd done that. God, that sort of thing drives me ****ing nuts and shows that in some respects the game is still in the 19th century. It's even worse when they do that sort of thing with rain in the offing, but even without that, it's ****ing ridiculousMade us bat again at least. Bres gets the freebie.
They're taking tea with 8 runs needed? Jesus wept.
I think Tremlett may come in for Jimmy (can't see him being successful in Aussie conditions)possibly for the 3rd test.I could see England playing Tremlett in the 1st test, he offers that little bit more than Finn at the moment, especially since he's getting some reverse out there and his line and length has been immaculate.
I doubt it, the performance squad has two spinners already, and I'm sure he'll be fine with the rest of the team.Quite pleased with Panesar's work in this game actually - took wickets in the 2nd dig to help England to victory and kept things tight in the 1st dig when the seamers were being rotated. Pretty good outing, exactly why I was happy with him coming on tour as Swann's back up.
Any prospect of him going with the Performance Squad to keep up his match sharpness?
No anti-jinxing nonsense here.Good stuff to win so easily in the end.We are in form and ready for the test series and have bowlers ready to step in as and when required.Bring on the victorious series. Can't see how we won't win as we are a better team.
