Both sides agreed to play under floodlights when need be, so as long as it doesn't rain the black clouds shouldn't be a problem. Got dark on the first day an hour or so before the close and the lights were on full.

Only 1 wicket went done when the lights were on (Amla fishing at a nothing ball) but Gul cut Kallis in a half a few times but that was seam not swing. Neither him or Riaz pitch the ball up much anyhow, so probably not the best choice of bowlers.

Though the ball has hardly swung conventionally all game.

Steyn out of the attack after only 3 overs. Apparently did his arm in yesterday after throwing a return in from the boundary.

Toffee gone.

Botha is miles ahead of Harris as a spinner. Wonder why SA are still persisting with harris.

South Africa were a bit too defensive for mine. You have to be prepared to lose if you want to win. South Africa would have been better off declaring ten overs or so earlier. If they had set 360-380 instead of 450, Pakistan may well have been tempted into going for it.

Good point, that would have pretty much removed the draw from the equation, though as it stands SA are more than likely to finish the game off.

On the other hand, if Younis and Azhar can bat until lunch tomorrow, then we've got a real fight on the cards.

I am not too sure. The track is still good for batting; if the Pakistani batsmen use their heads and try not to play fancy T20 shots, I see no reason why they can't bat out another 90 overs. Dale Steyn has been uncharacteristically subdued in this match. Maybe after-effects of his injury ?

It wasn't so obvious since Wasim Akram is the only Akram I know who was into commentary until a few weeks back.
