*Official* New Zealand in India 2010

What about Steyn recently in India? Honestly it was a very good spell but I don't think it was that phenomenal. Some poor shots by the Indian batsmen.
I'm Martin's biggest detractor, but it was basically world class batsmen being beaten by a mediocre bowler having a world class day. He had the ball on a string and swinging.

To be honest there isn't a lot to dislike about NZ though. They make the most of some limited resources and generally punch well above their weight, yes they have had a rough time but they lost a lot of good players.Good to see them on an upturn.
Yeah, love supporting New Zealand when they play other teams. I've always been a big fan of their players and their attitude towards cricket. It's excellent to see them do well, especially when they've been written off before the series even began. Although for the Indian team, they should know never to underestimate weaker opposition as they generally always perform poorly against the out of form sides.

Love that everyone has come here to cheer on Kiwis. When that's happening you know you're the #1 team. Everyone hates you
Don't kid yourself.

The kiwis are somewhat of a likeable team (unlike its supporters). Similar to the Windies.

We'll collapse in a heap though, I'm telling ya.
Hmmm. I'm already having horrific flashbacks to the Brisbane test were we had Aussie 6 down for a lead of abou 180, and we somehow still managed to let them get a lead of 300+.

Exactly. NZ have a history of getting into positions where their supporters feel on top of the world only for everything to crash back down to Earth.

Wow! Just incredible. Have been asleep the last eight hours and woke up to this!! Will now also congratulate myself far more than necessary for naming Martin in my imagined bowling attack for this test (it was Martin, Southee, Arnel, Vettori). Love it. I would never ever have expected us to be in a position to win a test in this series and whether they manage it or not, this has been brilliant.

Certainly a great comeback from 300-3 on the first day.
Yeah. There's always hope that the current game will end like this:

1st Test: New Zealand v West Indies at Hamilton, Dec 16-20, 1999 | Cricket Scorecard | Cricinfo.com

Not too dissimilar so far. I noticed Martin was bowling noticeably slower today than in the first innings, only hovering around the 130 mark. But he had noticeably superior control over line, length and swing. Maybe he's been trying too hard for pace of late and needs to just focus on doing what he does best, like he did today. He's got 4 and a bit tests to go (injury permitting) and 13 wickets to track down. C'mon the greyhound!

Btw Kiwi fans, putting $250 on you guys as we speak.

Eventually one of these bets against India is going to pay big. This will be it I reckon.

For some reason I've gone from being a neutral onlooker to strongly hoping India win...
