What's going on out there? Three rank shots. Aussies look fired up but geez a few gifts today.
I think they finally figured out if you put it in the batter's half, you draw shots off the front-foot and are more likely to get good players out.

I know McKay's not well-rated here but he's been pretty good for Australia in ODIs. I'd definitely sooner have him than Siddle, Hilfenhaus or Starc in one day cricket. I'd put him about on par with Johnson in my ODI pecking order behind Bollinger, Tait and Harris.

They seriously should play 4 quicks at the Gabba...
Hope you're not suggesting that on the basis of Tharanga struggling with bounce because, well.........

Not much movement, just useful bounce more than anything. A decent spinner would be able to use it well so yeah, we should play 4 quicks.

Wait. What was I saying again?

No, there is good seam movement as well, and a bit of swing, plus no good spin bowler=4 quicks.

Mckay is a 1st or 2nd change bowler at best, but one thing you gotta give him is, that he could make most of any help from the conditions.

Starc using the seam to good effect here, showing good skill, which is nice to see from a young Oz bowler.

I swear Tharanga is the luckiest/crappiest batsmen ever.
Never seen a "top order" batsmen miss the ball as many times as he does.
