Soft out. Short leg for Jaya against McKay?

EDIT: When he comes in, mind.

Why is Starc so high up the list at the moment? Surely there are heaps of better options than him?
They probably see Starc as a guy, who would replace either Bollinger or Johnson down the line.
On a side note, Starc looks kinda like a young Tony stark from the Ironman series!!

Aesthetics and age. I don't think the selectors are actually deluded enough to think he's one of the best options at the moment but, like when they gave Hazelwood a go, they're giving some experience to someone they think will feature further down the track.

If Sri Lanka were playing New South Wales today and everyone was fit, Starc would not be playing.
They should have given Scott Walter a go over Starc.

Thought Starc bowled pretty well in that one game in India - not slow, bit of movement and pretty accurate

Looks a lot better prospect than say McKay

Leftie swing bowler who bowls just above med and takes regular wickets, certainly more than Starc? No chance. Ask Matt Inness.

You're nothing unless you go past 140Km/h in this country.

That was Dilshan's 17th match in Aus, highest score is 61, only crossed 50 once and averages less than 20. Average is even worse in England, after 7 ODI Dilshan's highest score is 13. No worries for the WC though.

How many of those innings has he opened in though? He was rank in ODIs before he moved up to open.

Sanga and Mahela really need to get their ODI averages up. Doesn't do justice to their ability.

Tall, solid pace, no movement, from NSW. Take a guess what the most salient factor is.

It's ****ing Bracken all over again.
Haha, screw you!

Starc often swings it tbh. Doesn't make him any less gash though. Not even in our Top 20 One Day bowlers imo.

Great catch Bearrrrrrrrrr

What's going on out there? Three rank shots. Aussies look fired up but geez a few gifts today.

Without checking, I would guess less than 5. Can't recall him ever opening in England.

This is a pretty lively wicket. Would love to see this for the first test. :)
