Who would be your top 10 greatest Asian cricketers?

Faisal1985

International Vice-Captain
Absolutely i would take pick Ganguly. When he was in good form he was as good as any other Indian batsman...

Qadir over Murali because he is a leggie....had it been a world XI. i would pick Warne in that place...and personally i have some Pak biase involved too....lol

Not really..........I think Dravid, Laxman, (even Azharuddin) seem to be better batsmen at their peak than Ganguly.

I too have a leggie bias.........so it is understandable to pick warne over murali.........but qadir and murali????? seems like a fair bit of compromise on bowling standard.

Yup, that would be my XI as well, save for one change: Sub in Hanif for Sehwag. Just for sentimental reasons.

Aravinda or Miandad over Sehwag. Tempted to pick Vaas over Kapil as well, because Kapil is batting at No 8.

As an all rounder Yes. But as a ODI seamer no.
No.8 or not, kapil is the better option to have in the team because it is not like kapil was a dud with the ball and that chaminda was 'vaas'tly superior to him. both were pretty much even with the ball. but if the team is 6 down for not much, you want imran and kapil at the crease. i bet the opposition bowlers will not be too happy at that sight.

Tendulkar
Jayasuriya
Zaheer Abbas
Aravinda De Silva
Inzamam
Dhoni (wk)
Imran (c)
Kapil
Akram

Not too sure about Imran in the ODI side. He is probably the greatest Asian TEST cricketer. Not sure about his ODI skills as much. Maybe he enters the team as a lower order bat or captain. His ODI bowling record is quite ordinary IIRC.
