NSW Labor Government should pay for a roof to the SCG in a last ditch effort to win the election
They could put a roof over the whole city and give the joint climate control air conditioning; they'd still cop a pizzling come March.

It's funny, you'll often see in grade cricket on hot days that there are sides rolled for not very much, where curators have done the opposite and pumped moisture into the pitch when it's boiling.
heh, what do they do that for? Let off work early?

Most curators don't have to be there on the Saturday. They just do it to hold the pitch up and ensure that it doesn't crumble, and maybe because they have a bit of sympathy for the bowlers!

Whatever it takes!!!
He bowls a lot better with the older ball though.
Maybe.. I juz think he has more of a chance to set up the game for Australia bowling first up.. He is really coming on very late to be a game breaker ATM..

Hmm, he's long been bowling first change for Australia in ODIs though.

Remember early days he used to routinely swing the white ball, but never the red.

Worth a shot, I feel. I mean, I can understand if Harris and Bollinger were there but without them, this guy should be bowling first up. It is a no-brainer, IMO.

Haha, loving the hate for Sanga's helmet. Remember Langer used to wear a ****ing ugly one like that as well.

Holy hell that's fail. From all involved.

Like, the pits of fail.

Fail running
Fail throw from Haddin - about two metres over the bowler's head
Fail decision from Clarke, just run up and clip the bails
Fail attentiveness from Watto, just standing there when he should be paying attention to what's going on else the throw would've hit.

Watson to Sangakkara, no run, hilarious scenes! Sangakkara inside edged the attempted cut to Haddin on the bounce, Tharanga set off for the single, Sangakkara sent him back, both batsmen were at one end. Haddin lobbed the ball high and slowly to the bowler's end, it sailed over Watson's head at the stumps and was collected by Clarke behind the bowler. Tharanga was still yards and yards out. Clarke could have ambled to the stumps and taken off the bails. Instead he chose to throw, and Watson was standing right in front of his stumps. The ball hit Watson instead of the stumps and Tharanga gets an unbelievable let off

Having said that though it's not like Tharanga is murdering us. Not a complete disaster... I hope.

EDIT: Although to be fair to Clarke it was a lot closer than I imagined. Even so, probably would've got there first.
