That's another reason they're suspect. I registered with my dad's address, and according to the electoral register I don't live there. But there's no ****ing way I'm letting my step-dad get a sniff of this.
Can't imagine what he'd do if a Betfair letter turned up in the mail.

Haha, proxies work? Thought it'd be based on my registered address rather than my IP. Awesome.
Yeah man, I made a killing just back/laying online in T20 and tennis matches. The time you save in ringing up (which adds up to about 20 seconds) is crucial to the odds.

It was the most profitable time I ever had on Betfair.

I then got warned for betting online in live matches (as you know, betting online inplay on 'sports' is illegal in Australia) and I ignored the warning because the threat was ridiculous. The threat was they would disable me from betting in play online lol! So their threat was disabling what I am unable to do anyway.

So I kept going and made more money and then eventually I have been disabled, so a proxy is useless for me now.

From what I know the law is under review and will be changed. It's obviously not high priority, but by 2012 I imagine we'll be able to bet online inplay on sports.

Fun fact: In Australia horse racing is not deemed a 'sport' hence you can bet inplay.

The funniest thing IMO is that bet365 have made absolutely no attempt to adhere to that stupid law at all. :p

They're internationally based. I asked that at a Betfair info session once (stfu there was free fried chicken and a free $50 bonus for attending) and they said that it's not illegal for the individual, but rather the betting operator. Since Betfair Australia is a separate enttity to Betfair main (hence the different wallets) they could get in serious **** if they were prosecuted.

South Africa need to be careful. It's not out of control but it could get to be the case if Pakistan play it smart (big if).

Would be lame as **** for Pakistan to win this. Got some cash on South Africa in a multi where 3 of 5 legs have already been won.

Some sensible batting from Pak at long last.Pitch seems to be on the slower side,250-260 should be a match-winning score.
Don't know if the pitch is slow. Yes sensible batting but they are going really slow. Need to pick up the tempo a bit. Asad Shafiq looked a bit on the down side to me but i guess Saffers bowled a very good line and length to him..

Thank God Younis didn't get out on a duck...and hoping he scores a comeback fifty at least.

Definitely got on South Africa miles too early. Pakistan are favourites now apparently.

Yeah but you gotta take into account the fact that on any other day, Pakistan could be 80/4.

You have to take your good results with the bad. Whilst waiting to see if this partnership kept going would have resulted in some amazing value on South Africa right now, or even getting on Pakistan earlier and hedging your bet now would have been a good result, there was a strong possibility with this batting lineup that Pakistan could have collapsed.

It would have either robbed you of the chance to bet on SA, or your earlier Pakistan bet in order to hedge would have bombed.

Swings and roundabouts really.

Well, what do you think? What is a good score?
Well, it depends what happens to this pitch in the second innings. It's slowed down a bit throughout the innings, but it's certainly not a slow pitch by modern standards at all. Some of the drives that were played on the up early in the innings and the carry Lopsy was getting suggested the pitch was quite hard. 280 par IMO, at least.

Now all we need is Yousuf back in the middle for the tests...that should do the magic for this terrible Pak batting lineup.

YK, Yousuf, and Misbah should make a decent middle order for tests.

Imo,they should just look to play this way until the 40th over. With Afridi and Razzaq they could get 100 runs in the last ten.So even if they are say,200-2@40 overs, they could end up with 280-300.

Yeah, I still got on them way too early though. Within 2 overs of my bet South Africa had risen nearly .20 so could've held out for a little bit at least :p
Won't care as long as it comes in though :)

If Pakistan was betting on itself winning the toss it would have done well on this tour so far.

Hafeez has a good platform to ton up here and make his place permanent, however much i dislike him, but if he does the job for Pak then...why not.
