Ooo, ouch for Edmonson.

Is this Johnson's first game for WA? Going to piss down today and the weekend looks pretty ****. Every time I've booked a flight lately, the weather has turned to rubbish, sorry boys.

Hey Vic what do you think the odds are they'll try Will Sheridan in the opening spot again and he'll do absoloutly nothing?
Robelina - the Finch/Jewell dispute was in the herald sun apparantly Jewell either got physical or just verbal with Finch for not respecting the older players. Thats what they reported anyway.
I think they'll have another go at it in the Ryobi Cup, reckon they'll use either Maxwell or Sheridan at some stages as a pinch-hitter.

The thing about the format is that, generally with fielding restrictions in one day games the time to go was overs 5-10 after getting yourself in. Now, you have only five overs and have to get cracking from the get-go, so there is a theory about that you can sacrifice a player like a Maxwell/Sheridan looking for 20 off 10 rocks early, and then set about your innings after that.

In FC cricket, there's no way I can see them opening with Shero.

Bad news for North with this rain delay, had a real chance to slap about an abject Redbacks team. Doubt there'll be any play today at all. Weekend doesn't look good either.

Just as I say that, they go back off.

Meanwhile Abott picks up a wicket with his first ever ball in ODD cricket.

Klinger back to normal after his dire performance first up.

So sick of not being able to watch cricket. I'd be streaming this on the CA website but internet where I live is set up so you get cut off rather than slowed down if you go over the monthly limit (although it is free, so I guess I shouldn't complain).

Over 56.3: Johnson to Ferguson, FOUR, a controlled edge into the gap at gully and that just beats the fielder to bring up a fine century of just 111 bals

I wonder if it'd be weird to try and get my old Brad Young Redbacks shirt signed by the team whilst wearing my Blues shirt at the Sheffield Shield game in December.

Over 59.6: Beer to Klinger, no run, OUT, tries the slog across the line and the ball goes sraight on to hit middle, bad shot to end a very patient innings from Klinger. The breakthrough the Retravision Warriors really needed.

Maxy. Not smart, mate. :(

Such a timely century for Ferguson. He's currently 122* from just 135 balls, if he kicks on and grabs a double and Huss and North both fail when WA bat, they are going to be under even more pressure.

Personally I would like to see Ferguson spank a few more centuries before coming under consideration for the Test team, but I don't think the selectors think the same.

Also, what's with WA's bowling attack, Johnson and Hogan are good quicks, but having Mitch Marsh and Beer bowling first change seems like they are a bowler short. I'm surprised North hasn't bowled yet..

I have no idea why the Western Australian selectors chose a three bowler lineup at Adelaide. Mitch Marsh is a handy 5th bowler at best and he is expected to bowl first change in this game. Not smart.

Ferguson with the big century. Very good signs, and exactly what many of us want him to do before Test selection becomes a possibility.

Edit: What Nufan said.

I don't yet understand all the people calling for Ferguson's selection in the test team (ODI =/= Test), but if he keeps this up, I'll be joining the calls.

(But only because I know that Klinger will never get a chance)

Over 73.4: Beer to Ferguson, no run, OUT, tries to sweep and misses, the ball hits Ferguson in the stomach but he was very low to the ground, afetr a long wait the umpire raises the finger and Ferguson is on his way for a fantastic 129.

Well, I guess that ends the 'big century' discussion. Top knock, though, by the sounds of it.
