I think JBMAC is referring to Indian cricketing legend, C.K.Nayadu.You mentioned him in the pre-War cricket draft as well, but I'm not familiar with him. What can you tell us about him?
thought I saw Tendulkar playing in a test match few weeks agoIn no particular order:
WG Grace
KS Ranjitsinhji
George Headley
Sydney Barnes
Jack Hobbs
Clarrie Grimmett
Donald Bradman
Harold Larwood
Leonard Hutton
Bill O'Reilly
Neville Cardus
Fred Trueman
Keith Miller
Garry Sobers
Shane Warne
Imran Khan
Sunil Gavaskar
Viv Richards
Barry Richards
Dennis Lillee
Richard Hadlee
Malcolm Marshall
Wasim Akram
Sachin Tendulkar
Dickie Bird
At times, I preferred what I thought important characters over slightly better players, so unlike me ...but that's it.
Oh, a result of not reading the rules properly.thought I saw Tendulkar playing in a test match few weeks ago
Jeez, read the rules mate!In no particular order, besides that which they occurred to me:
WG Grace
Don Bradman
Garry Sobers
Imran Khan
Sachin Tendulkar
Viv Richards
Shane Warne
Muttiah Muralitharan
Jack Hobbs
Vic Trumper
Richie Benaud
Dennis Lillee
Keith Miller
Allan Border
Steve Waugh
Adam Gilchrist
Alan Knott
Frank Worrell
Bill O'Reilly
Ian Botham
Richard Hadlee
SF Barnes
Ricky Ponting
Warwick Armstrong
Malcolm Marshall
Waugh, Wasim and Donald!Oh, a result of not reading the rules properly.
So, the players have to have retired at least 5 years ago. Tendulkar and Muralitharan are out of it (lol, it seems I missed writing down Murali's place in the list at the first place ).
This 5 years rule makes my work a bit hard. Can someone quickly tell me which ones among Gilchrist, Warne, McGrath, Wasim, Lara and Donald are available? I am assuming Steve Waugh is.
edited my list...Waugh, Wasim and Donald!
Don't worry I'll probably change my nominations once I've given myself more of a chance to think things over. Why the lack of love for Neville Cardus?
How about some updates as we go Marcuss?2 players currently leading with 11 nominations each.
