He floundered in the mid card and sometimes on the lower card for most of his run. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of his and I think he's an incredible worker. It's just that it was common knowledge that he never really showed the desire to become better in terms of his character and his promo work.

He still put on on some pretty good performances in the odd PPV that he was featured in but he started blowing too many of his spots and was generally considered pretty sloppy towards the end of his run. He got released around 6 months ago and is now making appearances for Ring of Honor in a tag team with Charlie Haas.

Go and get me a glass of water!
That and the Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler promo were probably the highlights on a pretty average Raw. Pretty happy to see Daniel Bryan vs Dolph Ziggler being added to Bragging Rights. These two are at the top of their game and it should be a great match.

I imagine we'll probably see him back with the WWE at some point in his career to be honest. Could be one of these guys who goes in constant loops of showing up and getting fired again after everyone remembers why they fired him in the first place. He is a guy who can always make someone else look good though, I think his sloppy in ring work is a lot more problematic than his crap mic skills. He would have been perfect fodder to use in the midcard/to put people over to the main event. Hence why he was always dragged out at WM to go into the MITB matches year after year despite doing nothing throughout the year to really deserve it. When you saw that he had qualified I always kind of thought "right he's in there to do some ridiculous dive from a ladder to the outside, and then he'll be done", and that was inevitably always the case haha.

Come to think of it, just remembered the sunset flip powerbomb suplex thing he did from a standing ladder on Mr Kennedy and one other guy at WM24 I think it was, that was insane.

Wow, crazy stuff. Very disappointing to hear.

It's why you've gotta respect the top dogs that do this consistently for 10+ years. Sure they hold on to their spot and never want to let it go, but that is sort of a good characteristic at times. It means they've got the desire to put in to stay at the top.

Taker, Triple H, Cena etc.

Did Orton eventually take off like the WWE wanted him too? If so, add him in that category as well, among many others from the past.

Orton has now finally gotten there. He's probably WWE's most popular and most over babyface right now. After a pretty great run as a crazy heel, the fans just got behind him and turned him babyface. He seems to be playing a Steve Austin type character now in that he's a complete badass and doesn't give a damn about anything but he's getting cheered instead of booed. He's nothing like he was during his Evolution days in 2004.

I'd also add Chris Jericho, Edge and CM Punk to your list as well. These three have probably been the best all round performers in WWE over the last 3 years. All of them are just masters of the promo and their in ring work is near flawless. It's also the little things that they do that makes them such outstanding performers. I'd say they've outperformed Cena, Undertaker and Triple H in recent times.

Yeah sure, I was more meaning staying committed, fit, on the road and having the pressure of being the top dog for a decade, but Jericho and Edge also definitely fit the bill.

CM Punk seems to be going awesome whenever i tune in, but as I was referring to respect for longevity he's got a bit to go.

Solid Raw, nothing spectacular. Bit disappointing how they handled the Ezekial return but the rest was sound and Ziggler/Bryan promises to be a good match. Good to see Ziggler actually speak for himself for the first time in god knows how long, too. The Cena Vs Nexus thing is brilliant too - will be interesting to see what the payoff is.

The WWE Universe game mode looks really cool. There's also a Christian and a Chris Jericho Road to Wrestlemania which should great. They always suck me in to buying the latest version of the game.

I usually only get it once every 3 years or so (or at least that is what I try to do), and have not bought it since 2009. But yeah, the WWE Universe mode looks really fantastic, and is what will probably sell the game to me if the reviews are good. Absolutely huge roster this time around as well. Is all looking really top notch. Quite excited about it. Just hope the reviews are positive.

Zack Ryder continues to be treated like a joke on Raw, he lost to bloody Santino clean, the other week. Anyone else hoping that he gets some sort of push in the future, I just think he is a really cool guy with a good gimmick. He's a solid wrestler too. His music rocks too. Woo, woo, woo...

I think Zack Ryder's great. He's got charisma and is a pretty good worker as well. It's too bad that his gimmick, as great as it is at times just makes him the centre of jokes on their show. He's showed in the past that with the right people, he can have some really good matches.

Bragging Rights is on and do these PPV's come by quickly or what? I can't believe in the last 6 to 8 weeks we've had Night of Champions, Hell in a Cell, Bound for Glory, UFC 121 and now Bragging Rights. Talk about a lot of PPV's!

With the show being on I thought I'd post my predictions.

WWE Championship Match: Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett (with John Cena)
The angle between Nexus and John Cena has been built up superbly. Unfortunately this means that Randy Orton has a champion has been somewhat not as important as of late. I think it would be amazing if Wade Barrett won the WWE Championship. I don't see this happening though but I do see John Cena inadvertently costing Wade Barrett the title to further their feud.

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Kane vs The Undertaker

This is a Buried Alive match and as such I think Kane will win here. I think it's about the time where Undertaker needs a break before he comes back for Wrestlemania. Kane buries Undertaker alive so that Undertaker can take a break. I think the next logical contender for Kane's World Championship has to be Edge or Rey Mysterio since there are hardly any other babyface challengers left on the Smackdown side.

Bragging Rights Match: Team Raw vs Team Smackdown

Should be an interesting match but I think Team Raw will win this one. Team Smackdown has been dominating for the last couple of weeks so I think they will implode with Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio attacking each other as well as Edge and Jack Swagger not getting along.

Daniel Bryan vs Dolph Ziggler

This should be great match up with two of the best young workers in the WWE facing off. I have a feeling that since Bryan got the upper hand on Raw that Dolph Ziggler will win. Since I also have Team Raw winning at Bragging Rights, I think Bryan will lose only to have Michael Cole criticise him more on Raw for being the guy who let the Raw team down at Bragging Rights.

Unified Divas Championship Match: Layla vs Natalya

I don't think the LayCool gimmick has run out of steam yet and I absolutely love Layla so I'm glad that she's getting a chance to get in the ring with Natalya who is such a great worker that I'm sure she'll be able to carry Layla to a decent match. I'm still expecting that Layla wins with some Michelle McCool interference.

Enjoy the show guys.
