Chee Quee isn't a terribly Vietnamese name. Pretty sure his family is originally from Hong Kong anyway.

Fair hitter of the ball he was, disappointed he didn't really kick on.

His technique was suspect to say the least! Looked like he was going to nick every ball. Good timer of the ball when set though. Apparently his coaching work at the academy was first rate.

Cheeqs still continues to be my favourite cricketer not to play at international level. Love him to bits. Dominated grade cricket for years, and a genuinely nice guy to boot.

Yeah same. Was it in that 131 of his in the MM Final years ago that he landed one in the Brewongle Stand?

His best domestic knock no doubt. I'm not sure if that big six was in the final, might have been earlier in the season vs Tasmania?

I remember a pre season 6 hitting competition back in the mid 90s. Chee Quee won ahead of Symonds and Shane Lee. Gives you an idea, he wacked it a long way.

Peter George was actually the tenth bowler to have claimed Sachin Tendulkar as his first Test wicket, which equals the record of the Englishmen Colin Cowdrey and Herbert Sutcliffe. The others to have Tendulkar as their distinguished first Test scalp are Hansie Cronje (South Africa), Ujesh Ranchod (Zimbabwe; Tendulkar was his only Test wicket), Ruwan Kalpage (Sri Lanka), Mark Ealham (England), Neil Johnson (Zimbabwe), Jacob Oram (New Zealand), Monty Panesar (England), Cameron White (Australia), and Peter Siddle (Australia). A further 19 bowlers have so far claimed Tendulkar's wicket as their first in one-day internationals.

A batsman's ability to survive against bowlers he hasn't played against before suddenly became the decisive factor in rating them.
