*Official* Australia in India 2010

I did think a 3 hour wait til they inspect was a bit much.

We may end up with 30-35 over game or something.

Either way, Kohli better ****in play.

I was looking forward to this a lot at one point, and I couldn't remember why. It just hit me - THE SOFA. Their chat would've been great when they actually thought there was going to be play, but I've missed it now. :(

They didn't start at all if I have it right.

Just curious as a Brett Lee fan...did anyone watch him bowl recently in the domestic NSW v WA game? Is he firing on all cylinders? Would love to see him in the Ashes...

He definitely didn't retire from Tests in 2008 - I was watching some of the 2009 Ashes series earlier and he was in the squad for that.

Thanks for confirming. After I posted that I was sure I watched him play the tour match against England A.
Yeah he took a 5 fer in that game but hurt himself in doing so. They then kept him on tour forever but he didn't play a test iirc. Dumb arse selectors.

My quick read on the India/Australia tour. I'm a rabid Aussie supporter.

  • 2 Tests doesn't justify either of these two sides. Minimum 3 Tests, should be 5.
  • Best side won and won well - good luck to the Indians. Result could have been much worse if Sehwag occupied the crease for longer and Dhoni didn't fail with the bat.
  • Sachin justifiably treated our bowlers with distain - breathtaking performance from the little master.
  • Billy Bowden is the worst umpire at the elite level at the moment.
  • Australia may take a long time to get back up to the top of the tree - at least until we find a truly world class spinner. Hauritz was/is almost an embarrassment.
  • Hussey & North playing on borrowed time. Australia should have bitten the bullet and injected some youth into the side.
  • 1-dayers are almost meaningless. Who really cares about the 50 over format except for the World Cup? Needs a format rejig - 2x 25 over blocks?
Probably a good indication of where the Aussie Test team is at the moment.

He got injured again right before the first test, was only technically fit for the 4th test, but without any match practice he wasnt picked for the final 2 tests.

haha, yeah and with all the fitness work he's been putting in, if anything, he should be bowling quicker than ever. Because fast bowlers tend to reach their peak at age [two years older than Lee is at question time].

Has Lee retired from Test cricket or not? I could have sworn I'd heard something along those lines earlier this year.
