*Official* New Zealand in Bangladesh 2010

I created a thread about him not that long ago, for me he's a class act and should probably be coaching a bigger side like Pak or WI.
I'll actually reply to this seriously. The following are actually from another poster on MSN five seconds ago but he's a **** **** from Wellington who won't post them.

1) Bangladesh are level with NZ, WI and Pakistan in appeal

2) The problems Pakistan and the West Indies face are mostly political and most coaches don't want to touch it.

3) The problems that aren't political are logistical, the islands of the West Indies, the war torn cluster **** of parts of Pakistan, etc etc

4) the West Indies have also had their own **** ups in recent years with the strike and the loss of central contracts, troubles with grounds etc

Siddons is not going to move from coaching a nothing team that has seen moderate success to a total cluster**** of a place like WI or Pakistan. He'll coach an IPL franchise or one of the big 5.

EDIT: And of course there's the match fixing.

Flem - really, what you're doing in the past page is baiting, stop it. Someone else 'inevitably' doing something hypothetical in the future doesn't justify trying to bait them into it now.

Edit: couple of posts since I started that response more sensible - thanks.

What? I'm replying civilly after being a **** initially and even supported his idea to start a new thread if he wants to continue the discussion.

EDIT: No worries

Is that a name???why not fleming he successfully lead CSK
Fleming doesn't want the job. I'll find the relevant article in a sec.

Greatbatch didn't have the greatest coaching stint with Central Districts iirc, but I think he got a job with a County? He got called in by NZC to do some other stuff and worked his way up to coach.

Didn't realize Greatbatch was NZ's coach atm.

Well done Bangers - Shakib and Siddons seem to be producing some more regular success. Will be interesting to see how they go at the WC.

I'd also add the fact that it appears that Siddons is being given time and resources to implement his own ideas and, more importantly, backing and understanding from the board that change doesn't happen overnight. It's nigh-on impossible to do any job that requires the length of time need to overturn a culture of defeat and knee-jerk responses that have historically accompanied this, without being given complete control of the whole programme and being freed from behind-the-scenes meddling. I can't imagine he'd have this for a second in Pakistan, and whilst I haven't followed WI cricket too closely, any time I do check up on it the words "piss-up" and "brewery" come to mind.

That's simply the common view from people who are living in the past imo!!.. i won't comment about Pak but as far as WI are concerned our board have really stepped up to the plate of late and put things in place to move caribbean cricket forward, the A-team is back, the youth academy (HPC) run by English coaches is up and running, our t20 competition gets aired to a global audience on ESPN, the status quo no longer get contracts if their fitness or attitude isn't up to par (see Sarwan, Taylor and Deonarine) and they are in daily communication with the fans via facebook,

Gibson is now putting together his own coaching staff and is investing in addressing the huge injury problem we've had over the last 15 months which has seen us face Australia and South Africa with half our best team missing, things are also looking up with the amount of talent we currently have coming through, like i said i'm glad Bang are doing well but they've still got a long way to go before they reach Pak and WI's level, and the Test rankings clearly comply with that notion, with the tools Siddons would have with both WI and Pak i think he'd do very well indeed.

I'll start the Topic, whats an appropiate title?

Bottom Tier of ODI Cricket or What?

To the NZ supporters I'll say this much, I've seen alot of Zim Cricket since we play them 10 times every year. They got a Handy Lineup and Utseya and Price could do major damage depending on where the Group Match is played.

I honestly don't think much seperates Zimbabwe to Pakistan, Ireland is a handful at home but there gonna get demolished at the WC, I don't want to put them in the Convo yet

If you wanna continue this make a new thread like you suggested mate, I'll reply there. This topic has enough stuff to talk about.

All of us aren't fond of some of Jamie's tactics but we do agree he'd do a heck of a Job on a Top Tier team. With us he's alot more Technical, he's bringing us up slowley, sometimes he set the bar too low but now he's raising the bar and is more Results Oriented.

His use of the PP is Atrocius
