Any ODI batting lineup that has Vettori coming in at six just automatically looks terrible. I know part of it is due to lack of opportunity up the order and the fact that his batting has improved a lot compared to his early career, but seriously, the guy has passed 50 four times in 258 ODIs and averages 16.

He'll surely score a ton and win New Zealand the game from here or something now that I've said that but it's just ridiculous to have him there IMO. It's not a Test (and he doesn't even bat above seven in Tests anyway FFS).

I agree but just cant hide the surprise and frustration with black caps.

They look like a really pathetic unit at the moment and I just cant believe that good ODI players like McCullum, Taylor are throwing it away on regular basis now.

Absolutely uncalled for man. I remember when India were lost to Bangaldesh in the WC.

Anyway I just put some cash on NZ. Normally would feel bad betting against the Bangers, but with the series all wrapped up, I'm looking for Vettori to save the day :cool:
