Not Terrible
For today I'd like to see:

McCullum
Ryder
Watling
Taylor
Not too fussed who plays here, Elliott has been poor, Stewart to have another chance? Meh.
Williamson
Vettori
NcCullum
Mills
Southee (with Tuffey out)
Bennett

Wouldn't it just make sense to bat Williamson at five again?

Ah yeah I'm fine with batting Williamson at 5 but since we don't really need the extra bowler I didn't want to put the extra bat position where it might seem like I'm opening the team up to needing another one. Elliott batted at 7 in that last match IIRC, Stewart could just slot in there.

McKay's actually bowling pretty well here, he's getting in very close to the stumps and getting the odd one to swing away whilst also getting the odd one to jag back.

McKay picks up Nafees. He's bowling well today. Swinging it away from the left hander. He's not a bad bowler. If we weren't losing he wouldn't be copping the **** he gets imo.

Absolutely, he's a very solid bowler. But I guess there was a bit of hype that he might be a spearhead, and some of the **** he cops is a reaction to that. He'll never be a Bond, but he's useful.

Hope he's still able to get this line and length against India.

Suspect it's some kind of scheme. If he was putting his all in for pace and bowling slower then logically he'd still spray it, whereas if he's boling within himself his accuracy should theortetically increase a bit.

Does it look like he is bowling slower intentionally to a plan or was the other day a fluke?
Can't tell, but probably the former. He's a good 5-10 k's slower than thursday so far. Avg speed of about 136 so far. His line has probably been the best of the three seamers so far.

Wonder if it's his own idea or someone told him to? Would be a bit ironic.

McKay: Selected for speed
Bennett: Selected for speed

After Bennetts first game: Slow down for some accuracy mate
