Crowe debuted against Aus and Rutherford against the West Indies. Williamson played in a tri-series that I can't remember who won and against Bangladesh, who have won 14 games out of 130 odd ODIs. Aside from playing Zimbabwe, you couldn't ask for an easier introduction.
Except he's batting in a losing cause currently and SL and India in the subcontinent are quite good.

Haha wow. Don't know what to say, Bangladesh playing well and us playing poorly. Don't know how to feel.

!!!!!

Mushfiq spills a stumping chance of the bowling of Mahmudullah and so what does Mahmudullah do? He just gets that same wicket (the ever so important Vettori) off the very next ball! What a gun!

And he averages over 40 domestically and will presumably be required to bat in the subcontinent one day, possibly in a test match. Have to LOL @ "he's batting in a losing cause", he better get use to it.

This is one of those series for us where there is nothing you can do but suck it up and laugh. We'll be right back on our nice home wickets. We're not a dire ODI side, we've been pretty good up until this series.

IF that stand doesn't put on 100 runs it is all over. I am not giving up yet.

Mate we have plenty of batting to come, we're obviously well behind but everyone besides Bennett can swing the bat. Very strong tail, obviously if this partnership scores sweet **** all we're screwed.

8-)Chuck in some 20 year old South Africans then mate, can't hurt.

He'll be a much better batsman in a year or two. Whether he'd be up to the required level is anyone's guess, but historically chucking in 19-20 year olds never bodes well for us with a few exceptions. They only really kick on after a couple of years.

Considering the WC is in the subcontinent though...

We were pretty poor in the tri series except for one partnership between Taylor and Styris oh and a fifty from Watling.

In other news the whole nz team is using their feet to the spinners so it must be a team tactic.

When I played in Canada against many spin bowlers from India I had to learn to use my feet for the first time. Don't need to use them growing up in NZ.

Not watching since I'm at work, but I'd probably be willing to put a bet on that one of the commentators said "clever cricket" when Kane took a single after smashing two sixes.
