*Official* Australia in India 2010

I believe Sachin has now scored at least 1 century in every Aussie tour bar 1996 ( 1 off test) and the 04 series when he was coming back from an injury. Awesome.

This must nbe frustrating for Ausdtralia. India are very light on batting other than Sachin and Sehwag. One is out, and Rahul, out of form. Yet Sachin is standing between it all.

If he had gone Australia could easily have ran through pujara, raina and dhoni.

His record vs Australia is unbelievable. Especially over 20+ years.

Ya if they broke the partnership earlier, they would have probably secured a 200+ lead.. but

It's more frustrating knowing that Vijay was dropped tbh.

You're also 8 wickets away from keeping it that way so the work has yet to be done.
Yeah but the point is that there's still a looooong way to go for India. They need to score 250 more just to meet the Aussie total, let alone getting a lead. All it takes is one bad shot/good ball and that total looks a whole lot worse. Suspect Vijay is feeding off Sachin a bit, as would the rest of the order.

The longer Sachin is out there, the worse it looks for OZ but if they nab him any time in the next session, they'll be far more confident.

Incidentally Sachin is at 11 hundreds against Australia, one less than Jack Hobbs' record of 12. He has played 10 fewer tests against them than Hobbs as well.

What nonsense.

TBF, he only played 2 tests in the 2004 series as well... Just an awesome player... OTOH, how about Laxman Vs Aus in the series he played? Believe it was only 2004 that he didn't score a century too..

India Australia series recently have become a bit more of a batathon though, to put things in perspective.. Punter has been going great against us as well and I think Hayden too, except for the tour last time...

yes I know which is why I don't mind him not being able to score in 04.

Nah, not really frustrating when you can't get rid of one of the best batsmen ever.
