I reckon Smith should replace Hauritz. Even if Smith doesn't do much with the ball, he can hardly be worse than Hauritz is now. And I'm sure he would drastically improve if he got more game time.

Besides, the batting would be incredibly strong with Smith in the side.

Laxma Siv: That record was held by yours truly...I myself was 17 years old when I made my debut.

Nathan Rimmington in shield cricket? He has barely played any first class games or taken any wickets in them. He is actually a pretty tiny bloke so his lack of bounce will deafinitely hurt him in the longer format but he does swing the ball.
Never said he was tall or played heaps of games. In the matches ive seen him play he impressed me. Simple. Not sure about the tiny bloke thing, look a bit of a unit to me.

Never seen Clarke toss it up so much before. As he's been creamed through the covers I'm nut sure it's the way to go either.

ha ha ha. i hate that guy too.... one of the most annoying voices i have heard in my life. if you tie me up and force this mother****er's commentary on me for 10 minutes, i will spill state secrets. ****ing **** likes to underline again and again "thirttttttty one thousand runs..." "fortttyyyyyyy eight hundreds". next time he says "look at those numbers" i am going to fly to bangalore, take a cab to the stadium, bribe someone to take me to the press floor, enter the commentary box, grab this guy, slap him hard and drag him away from the mike.

heard from reliable sources that he watches south indian comedian vadivelu's videos all the time. even while flying, in his ipad. shows his class, really.

No point at all in bowling crap spinners at Sachin. A bit hard to watch being an Aussie fan, at least make it a little difficult for him. :@ Hauritz makes Robertson look amazing. Not that Robbo did all that bad, 4 on debut and a 50 in India?

Worst habit is how often he says the word 'very'

Ridiculous.

You said that Rimmington has impressed you in the shield games that he has played. I said that he has barely played any shield games in his career and he didn't take any wickets in them so he hasn't done much to impress in the longer format so far. He is 177cm and that is pretty small for a fast bowler mate, Nathan even said himself that " His lack of bounce " may hurt him in four day cricket.

Ended up taking that last session, just. Good partnership, Sachin fair gun.

Aussies shaking hands with Sachin, good sportsmanship. Even from Watto.

His lack of bounce is more created by the fact that he crouches down really low when he bowls due to his giant delivery stride, than his height.

But yes I highly doubt he's impressed anyone with his 8 Shield wickets in 8 games at an average of 77 and a best of 2/25. I reckon robelinda's mixing up limited overs games (where he's been awesome) with Shield games.

He impressed me. I'm not allowed to be impressed with someones bowling that ive seen??? He's swing bowler, Adam Dale style, lack of bounce is irrelevant. Certainly mighty impressive in the shorter forms.

**** I love Allan Border.

Have Blewett and Border on the panel more, and less Brendan Julian and Mark Waugh.

Can be critical without being a prick.

Thats what I thought as well. No doubt that Rimmington has been impressive in the shorter formats with his swing bowling and his low bounce death bowling, he might play for Australia in limited overs providing he keeps his current bowling form.

George will be better for the run, just needs Ponting to show confidence in him. Hes not an exciting bowler but hes one that can get the job done ala Clark.
